  We are a non-profit association whose goal is the protection of animals of all species as well as the defense of their rights in Greece.
  Our association was created in 2016 as a result of a trip to Greece that lasted many months. The amount of abandoned, injured, and dead animals that can be found on the side of the road of cities or towns is what motivated us the most. The idea for our association was born with the main goal of helping as many animals as possible.
  today, the association is building a shelter to finally welcome the animals that need a safe place.
  We need your help to create this wonderful place.... from scratch.
  The land is 24 000sq meters and offers so many opportunities.

  Even before this project, we always loved working in an autonomous way where everybody learn from each other. No one has to prove anything to others and knowledge comes every day by listening and looking to another being that already knows. We have a lot to learn from others as much as me have a lot to share with you.
  We love DIY, cooking vegan, and being active for the animals in many ways.

  Our next goals are:
  
  Clearing the land of dead trees, which are the result of the fire that destroyed the area three years ago.
  
  Fencing different areas of the land to welcome more animals and build shelters for them.
  
  Help building DIY infrastructure such as a cooking area, pergola, storage space, and living spaces for non-human animals.
  
  Help designing a permaculture plan for the land.
  
  Creating vegetable gardens.
  
  Help with renovating our new caravan.
  
  Create a cat playground.
  
  And much more!

  For the moment, we can host people in our second caravan, in tents, or in their own equipped vehicles.
  We provide basic facilities including compost toilets, both outdoor and indoor showers, a fridge, a washing machine, and a gas-powered kitchen.
  
  Accommodations are simple for now, but we're improving things every month.
  We have solar panels and a generator for electricity.
  
  If needed, we can provide tents and sleeping essentials such as mattresses, sheets, and pillows for those who don’t have their own gear.
  
  We offer three vegan meals per day, along with non-alcoholic drinks.
  For any extras or fancier snacks between meals, there’s a collective donation box available.

  Here, at the Shelter, we want to create a safe space for animals and humans.
  We do not support the idea that animals are food or products to be bred, slaughtered, and consumed for profit or used for any purpose.
  We have zero tolerance for oppression in all its insidious forms. Examples of oppression, which are not exhaustive by any means, include aggressive language and aggressive acts. Language and deeds deemed sexist, racist, ableist, homophobic, transphobic, or speciesist.
  The shelter is a human-vegan space and you will be expected to eat only vegan food during your stay and use vegan and cruelty free products.
  The shelter is an alcohol & drug-free space in order to respect the humans who are fighting their addiction.
  The shelter is close to Nafpaktos city.
