Hi
I am a Belgian woman, mother of Juulke (13 going on 14) who goes to Belgium every summer. We live in the countryside iof Alvaiázere in a renovated 200 year old house with a lush garden. I had the pleasure to have workawayrs here for a few times and always loved this experience of sharing! Life brought in some lemons and I had to stop hosting for a bit BUT I would love to bring in some fresh new exciting energy and therefore I am calling out to the hive! The garden needs tending, I would love to bring some chickens back so we can built them a nice coop, some stonewalls need repairing, I am learning how to cob so making new structures with cob would be amazing, I am totally open for ideas from your side as well and learn from whatever skill you bring to the table. There is a spare room inside our house that you can use or if you travel by van there is space to park up here. If any of this calls to you please reach out and maybe we can be a great fit and share some experiences!! Looking forward already X

Sometimes it feels like life has stood still where we live. And in a way that is probably true...the pure Portuguese way of live shines bright here. We have been here for 8 years. If there is something going on in the area we will try to check it out and everyone who wants to join is very welcome. We love hearing other people stories and open ours to them. Our daughter will put the pepper on the steak. She is a very spontanuous 13 year old who likes to do whatever she wants (but of course is totally not able to do that...all the time)

We have a guestroom in the house, if you have a van you can park up in the garden or we have a bell tent in the garden if that's something you'd prefer

We embrace all kinds of goodhearted people. Everybody has there own talents and contrubites in any way. We like to be surprised. As we live remote it can be hard to get around without a car. There is busses that will take you to Tomar, Coimbra, Lisbon,...if we know and have time we can bring you somewhere. We like to connect but also like people to think independent. There are no strict rules to the exchange but to much of anything is almost never a good thing...that could be our motto :)
