  HI! We are Emily ('96) and Daniele ('90) we have two girls born in 2021 and 2023, and a dog named Jenny. In 2022 we bought a small piece of land of 1.5 hectares near Farnese. We have about 100 olive trees, a small vineyard that has just been planted, a vegetable garden, working the land as little as possible, and half of the land is occupied by a steep forest bordering a stream. We live in an organized way in our cottage but we also have a house in the village with all modern conveniences. At the moment we have little electricity, enough for some night light and to charge phones. For water we make do with camping showers and basins. We are working to create a continuous water recycling with a phytodepuration system and bring direct water to the house. Our dream is to become mostly self-sufficient, or at least we try to eat as local as possible and we like to buy or trade goods with our neighbors. Having just arrived, the jobs to be done are beautiful and many, including building compost toilets (and the whole bathroom!) and other structures in raw earth, starting the vegetable garden using methods that work the land very little, creating a phytoremediation pond and the rainwater collection system, making jams and preserves, fencing, creating a house for the chickens that we'd like to put in, doing something with the girls only if you like and the work doesn't end there. But who are we? Emily, I traveled for a few months as a volunteer on farms around Italy and the experience changed me or even saved my life: I grew up in Rome and since I was little I have always felt the lack of something, which I found again by contact with nature. Daniele is a handyman, musician, and has experience in the agricultural field. He also worked as a rigger in show business. The accommodation varies according to the season and your preferences, the house in the village will be available in the cold seasons (because in the summer we would like to rent it as a holiday home) and in the summer you will stay in a tent or camper. We are curious to meet nature-loving souls who are seriously interested in learning about and living this slow and simple lifestyle.

  Siamo Emily (27) e Daniele (32) abbiamo due bimbe nate nel 2021 e 2023, e una cagnolina di nome Jenny.
  Nel 2022 abbiamo acquistato un piccolo pezzo di terra di 1.5 ettari vicino Farnese. Abbiamo circa 100 piante di ulivo, una piccola vigna appena impiantata, cominceremo a breve a lavorare sull'orto lavorando il meno possibile la terra, e metà del terreno è occupato da un bosco scosceso che confina con un torrentino.
  
  Viviamo in modo arrangiato nel nostro casaletto ma abbiamo anche una casa in paese con tutte le comodità moderne.
  
  Al momento abbiamo poca corrente sufficiente per un po' di luce notturna e per caricare i telefoni. Per l'acqua ci arrangiamo con docce da campeggio e bacinelle.
  
  Stiamo lavorando per creare un riciclo continuo dell'acqua con un sistema di fitodepurazione e portare acqua diretta alla casa.
  
  Il nostro sogno è quello di diventare perlopiù autosufficienti, o comunque proviamo a mangiare il più possibile locale e ci piace comprare o scambiare beni con i nostri vicini.
  
  Essendo appena arrivati i lavori da fare sono belli e tanti, tra cui costruire compost toilet (e tutto il bagno!) e altre strutture in terra cruda, avviare l'orto utilizzando metodi che lavorano poco la terra, creare un laghetto di fitodepurazione e il sistema della raccolta delle acque piovane, fare marmellate e conserve, recintare, creare una casa per le galline che ci piacerebbe mettere, fare qualcosa con le bambine solo se vi fa piacere e i lavori non finiscono qui.
  
  Ma chi siamo noi?
  Io, Emily ho girato qualche mese come volontaria su fattorie per l'Italia e l'esperienza mi ha cambiato o addirittura salvato la vita: sono cresciuta a Roma e da quando sono piccola ho sempre sentito la mancanza di qualcosa, che ho ritrovato stando a contatto con la natura.
  
  Daniele è un tuttofare, musicista, ed ha esperienza in campo agricolo. Ha lavorato anche come rigger nel mondo dello spettacolo.
  
  L'alloggio varia in base alla stagione e alle vostre preferenze, la casa in paese sarà disponibile nelle stagioni fredde (perché d'estate la vorremmo affittare come casa vacanze) e d'estate si starà in tenda o camper.
  
  Siamo curiosi di conoscere anime amanti della natura e che sono seriamente interessate a conoscere e vivere questo stile di vita lento e semplice.
