I am an artist I paint landscapes oil on canvas, my art extends into the garden.i have two gardens a vegetable garden and an ornamental one. Me and my partner Stephanie who lives in her own house next door were in woof Ireland for years. now she is working so I am doing this on my own.

How water is heated from solar and wood. I produce electricity from the water turbine and solar panels
You can have a hot shower every day if you wish. If there is no sun one has to light the stove to heat the water.
NOTICE This is not an oil fired central heating environment.
Sometimes we go sea fishing in my friends boat May to Sept. I also do Irish set dancing which you can try out , Basically I wish to show you a degree of self sufficiency , living close to nature and more importantly breathing techniques and meditation. This year 2024 we did Tai Chi every weekday morning around 8;30 am, it was a great way to start the day
I can show you art , painting and composition.
If you arrive on a Wednesday or Thursday you are requested to do a few hours on Saturday
If you have read down this far use the words energetic experience when you apply.
Ajuda
I need help in the vegetable garden transplanting, weeding etc. and in the ornamental garden cutting grass clipping hedges tidying up and so on. The tasks, jobs are not difficult just time consuming. I usually move the jobs around so you don't get bored doing the same thing all day.

I used to work as a language instructor, I can help you with English, we usually language practise on weekdays.
Acomodação
Accommodation is in a small guest house next to the main house, there is room upstairs for 2 people sharing, in the colder months accommodation is upstairs in the main house.
There is no heating in the guest house at the moment, I will build a rocket mass heater there later.
All meals are included and in the main house which you have access to all the time. I enjoy cooking, however it is Irish, rather simple, there is always vegetarian food on the menu, I do eat meat but not much.

We live at the end of the road, with the wild mountain up behind the house. Walking on the hills above is quite breath taking. There are bicycles available to explore the valley. Stephanie takes helpers sightseeing along the coast. Bantry Town is about 12 Km. away. There are about 5 buses a day to Cork city. Now there are new bus routes to take one along the coast. We enjoy keeping helpers minding them and making sure they have good experiences while here. Helpers can also borrow my camping equipment for weekend camping down the coast

I was with Paddy for three and a half weeks and it was a wonderful time. I was learning a lot about breathing exercises and relaxation methods. Working in the garden is very meditative and the atmosphere is very spiritual and calming.
We made art, weaved baskets and we webt to a traditional irish dance class.

Lulu was with me for 2 weeks in August. She isa a great workawayer. I showed her what to do in the garden and so on and she caught on quickly I did not need to repeat "how to do it". Laure and Laurine stayed with me in July for 10 days and they were very good. Their English is very good we had no problems communicating. They adapted to country living very well and did all the things I asked them to do, weeding transplanting, picking fruits and vegetables and wood stacking and so on.
