We are a small family run Eco Hostel Dad- Carlos, Mum- Viviana our beautiful son Nicolas who is 10 years old and our wonderful nilson and Dary luz who help us with the running of the hotel but who we consider part of the family too... oh and not to forget coco our friendly four legged friend. Our Eco-hotel has recently expanded to 4 rooms and and 2 cabains and we now host up to 20 people at a time.
Isla Grande is the biggest of the Rosario Islands, located about 45 minutes by boat from Cartagena, Colombia. It is a submarine national park that many tourist come to visit mainly for snorkeling and scuba diving.
We offer guests additional activities with our Eco guy Nilson such as: bike riding, canoeing through the mangroves, going to see the coral reefs and during the evening going to see the luminiscent algae.Tipos de ajuda e oportunidades de aprendizado

The volunteers will be able to share the island culture directly with the natives. They can also enjoy all activities offered at the eco-hotel, they can learn snorkeling, ocean canoeing, eco-friendly hostal maintenance, guiding, etc. They can learn sea-food preparation and socialize with visitors from around the world. Additionally, the owner is a talented artist that enjoys painting. Travellers will benefit of his art knowledge in a fun way.

Ajuda
Isla Grande is an island and it is required for the volunteer to be able to swimm. The type of help needed is occasionally babysitting a 10 years old, teach him some english, help around the eco-hotel and assist guests if needed, assist with the activities offered, e.g. Hiking around the island, bike tours, canoe tour of the island, etc..

Additionally to the activities previously mentioned, travellers can scout the neighboring islands, visit the bird sanctuary, sun bathe at the close by beach. Also, they can go sightseeing in Cartagena, see the fort and the 16th century old town. And you can visit the amazing enchanted lagoon, famous for the phytoplankton luminous and night without moon, this is just walking 10 minutes since the eco-hotel.
