I stayed with Irina, Francesco, and Max three summers ago, in 2019. And it was a downright amazing time. Irina and Francesco were extremely warm with me from the get-go, and made me feel like I was a member of the family. I was staying with them to teach their son, Max, english. Max, at the time nine years old, had a head full of steam and a heart
… read more full of energy. Irina explained to me how I had to be creative with my approach to teaching him english (that lessons, for instance, would do no good, but that soccer, for instance, definitely would).
What grew from those first few days was a June I will never forget. The family was extremely generous with me. They took me to the beach to play paddle with Max (but more often to go swimming and catapult him off my shoulders into the coming waves). They took me, also, to their vacation home in the Apennine Mountains to go mountain biking and hiking.
We all grew so fond of each other that we are still in contact today! I have been able to make it back to Italy a few times, and they welcomed me back to see them (even for just a weekend) many times. I think many foreigners have this idealized image of what an Italian family experience is like (I certainly did). Well this month together lived up to that image in spades. Jared is a mature and skilled young man. He's very clever and sporty, balanced and calm. He used to spend the mornings with our son while we were at work, they played together and learned English through games. He helped with the housework, too. He was a nice conversation companion to us, too. It's a pity he couldn't stay more although we wanted
… read more him to. We really hope to have him back at some time of his work away experience. Our son was really keen on him, they got on together really well. He does not smoke or drink and he's very disciplined. We would absolutely recommend Jared to any host.

I stayed with this family for 2 weeks towards the end of the summer. Irina, Francisco and Max are a great family to learn from and spend time with. Mostly my days consisted of playing with Max in the mornings, correcting his English and occasionally making him breakfast or helping with his homework whilst his parents worked. In the afternoons
… read more Irina was very kind to either show me parts of the area or take us all to the beach. The family was very very generous and kind to me and we had great conversations over the dinner table, with plenty of wine and pasta! Irina is very kind and cares for Max a lot. Francisco is very funny and has a clever analytical mind. Max is very sweet boy, although he has his moments, I felt we both benefited from each other’s company. I enjoyed playing at the beach and tennis outside the house with him. He’s actually very smart for his age and he said a few things in which I burst out laughing. Max loves someone whose does things a differently and unexpected. Overall this was my first proper WORKAWAY and I was very lucky to join an understanding family. They’ve now had a few different younger guys stay with them so they know how to treat you right and make sure you’re enjoying yourself. Thank you for a great two weeks, I’m continuing my travelling for the moment. I will keep in touch, let me know how maxis doing! My experience with Francesco, Irina and Max was absolutely amazing! Irina and Francesco are amazing parents that will treat you like their own family. Charley is a charming English boy, very intelligent, calm and easy going person. He was respective and helpful with the house work and cooking. His main task was to play and teach our son English and he fulfilled that task greatly. He was playful and taught many games, skills to our 8 year old son. At the same time we, parents, enjoyed his company
… read more as we found interesting discussing about different political, social and cultural matters with him. We tried to show him around in order to let him visit our beautiful surroundings and make the most of his visit in Italy. Our son wants him back and we'd be also happy to see him again. We are still in contact with Charley and are glad to follow his activities and encourage him in carrying out his projects.

Francesco is hilarious and will cook you the most delicious food every lunch! They are so nice and made sure I had everything I needed. I miss this family!
