Our time at Jackies place was great!!☺️ We spend two weeks there, it was our first Workaway experience and we wish we stayed longer. The tasks she gave us were enjoyable and we got along really well. The dogs and horses are the cutest!! She is such a lovely person and you enjoy spending time with her, while cooking, walking the dogs, eating, etc.
… read more We painted and helped with the animals and in the garden. We did some weeding and planted some new plants together with Jackie. The work didn’t feel like work.
There is a Café/Pub in Langourla which is really fun and Jackie gave us a lift there. Jackie took us to Lamballe once and we had bikes which we could use whenever we wanted. We also went Kneeboarding at BZH Wakepark which Jackie helped organize for us and we went together with her and her friends.
She has a lot of friends and everyone is really nice. We will especially remember Heidi🫶. The place is really remote with no public transportation, so if you want to see a lot of the area we recommend coming with a car. We had good conversations while sitting together and we learned a lot from her💞.
Thank you for everything!! We will see you again!
To everyone reading this, we’re sure you’ll have a great time in Langourla!!☀️
Katy,un and Julia were superb workaways and were an utter joy to host together.
They worked hard and enthusiastically at all their chores -be it looking after and grooming the dogs and horses especially Circo and Barnaby.,pressure hosing the stables, gardening, painting the field shelters, cooking vegetatian meals etc. They were very kind and

Maddie and Luke were such superb workaways and worked so hard and enthusiastically over the whole month.Luke enjoyed cutting and splitting the wood and shedding the branches and doing so many small maintenance jobs around the place. They worked so well as a team and were always really happy ,amusing and nothing was too much for them.

I was very interested in their American culture and life and we together spent many hours discussing about life here,England and America which they were very proud of.
They made the most of exploring Brittany with their car and always being so sociable and interesting made many friends
I would certainly recommend them as fantastic workaways and hope one day they will return
My boyfriend and I spent a month staying with Jackie in Brittany. Having never had any Workaway experience, we had no idea what to expect. Needless to say, staying with Jackie far surpassed all of our expectations. She lives with three adorable dogs and five idiosyncratic horses. Her property is situated in the Breton countryside surrounded by

We went to the coast, Dinan, Saint Malo, Bayeux, and Mont Saint Michele. If possible, we definitely recommend renting a car, because it gives you freedom to explore some of the most gorgeous parts of France. While staying there,
Jackie introduced us to her friends who were all so sweet and interesting.
We were able to manage our own workdays, and ended up starting work at around 10 am, taking a break for lunch, and then working again until around 4. The work consisted of moving wood, pressure washing, painting, general maintenance, and some horse related chores. After work ended, we would either go into town, go on walks, hang out with the dogs and horses, or cook dinner together. Jackie prepared dinner for us 90% of the time, and we cooked a few meals for her the other 10%. Together, the three of us became quite good friends, and we usually wouldn’t retire until around 9 or 10 pm. If we ever get a chance to travel over from the United States we ABSOLUTELY will return to stay with Jackie and her animals:)

I would also like to leave my feedback on my experience at Jackie's in Langourla even if a little late.

Jackie was very helpful and taught me new things
I did lots of different and satisfying little jobs, including painting the veranda of her house, managing and cleaning the horses, cleaning the stables, cleaning the fields, tidying the vegetable garden. Every day there was something new and different to do! I appreciated it!
The work is not organised in defined hours, but you have to be quite flexible and understand when your help is needed. I often worked with Jackie and I also often worked independently.
The place is surrounded in the green and beautiful countryside of Brittany and is not connected by transport, so if you want to travel at the weekend, best to go by car!
I highly recommend this experience! Thanks Jackie! 💚 :)Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Vicky was a joy to host and joined in all activities.
She was willing, helpful and gained confidence in new skills using her initiative.
She has a passion like myself for animals especially the dogs and horses. I wish her all the luck in becoming a horse vet in the future
She is a very accomplished dressage rider which Daisy really appreciated.

She enjoyed playing ,grooming and taking my three dogs for a walk and on the dog agility course.
She will quietly fit into any situation and always do her best.
I would love her to return as would all the animals

Jacky was my first workaway experience and I will never forget the time I spent with her. I was there for almost 6 weeks and I felt really comfortable and welcome from day one🥰

She also has a lot of English friends who are all very nice and open people and come to visit often so it never gets boring.
I miss the people and animals a lot, especially OB and Pipi and will definitely come back!!Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Our stay with Jackie was a very special and amazing moment for us 💕 we stay with her for 2 weeks. We also helped around with some fence painting, water hozing and cleaning the stables. We even manage to paint a colorful little mural 🥰.
Jackie was everything we hoped for and more! She was sweet, funny and very welcoming. We watched some series, played cards and visited some villages. Also she makes the best blueberry crumble ever! We hope to see her again soon! 💕🥰
love and kisses
