  We would like to invite volunteers to join us for the tourist surf season in our modern luxurious hotel in Arugam Bay. The season begins late April and runs through to October. Arugam Bay is a world famous surfing location in Sri Lanka with more than 14 surfing points, catering to beginners to experts. Our hotel is nestled between the sea and lagoon and has a big garden, great views and cooling breezes. The area is filled with lots of places to discover, wildlife sanctuaries, historical places, different food cultures, yoga & fitness options, camping (surf and wildlife) also not to mention that, this is a bird lovers paradise.
  
  Our Hotel has 20 various luxury rooms and separate hostel/dorm facilities, with garden access and lagoon views for backpackers. The Hotel is a ten minute walk to the main street in Arugam Bay where you will find different bars, restaurants, supermarkets and two ATM’s. Pottuvill is a quick tuk tuk ride away where there are numerous ATM’s and larger supermarkets.
  
  Beginning this 2023 season we will be opening our rooftop bar which has amazing views of Arugam Bay and the lagoon. It is the place where you can watch the sun rise and set, or spot a family of elephants cooling off in the lagoon.
  
  Our large restaurant provides delicious Sri Lankan meals, and has fully equipped “A la carte” restaurant facilities. We have a friendly small staff, making the place a great experience for our guests.
  
  We are looking for volunteers who have a can do attitude with fun, friendly vibes, and would be happy to jump in and assist us to create wonderful experiences for our guests
  
  Preference will be given to one month stays or longer.
  
  We understand that this should be an enriching experience for everyone, so with us you will find a friendly open happy environment. We are always open to new ideas and look forward to welcoming people from around the world to our family.

  You will have the chance to experience Sri Lankan culture & lifestyle while volunteering at our Hotel with our friendly staff.
  You can learn to cook Sri Lankan food. You can learn Sinhalese which will come handy while traveling Sri Lanka. This place is also a paradise for bird watchers and wildlife photographers. You can learn to surf. You can experience birds & animals (elephants) in the lagoon, wildlife parks, beaches and more. You can try Sri Lankan Spicy Rice and Curry or freshly caught seafood.
  Visit the historical and religious temples including the Muhudu Maha Viharaya temple and ruins.

  Ajuda

  We are asking for volunteers to assist during the busy surf season in our hotel. Volunteers that speak Russian to assist with our Russian guests are valuable. We’d expect the volunteer to stick around the reception area for a few hours per day to receive and communicate with guests and the staff. This would be a nice cultural exchange. We’re open to hearing what volunteers can offer too.

  While you are here we would encourage you to learn to surf or explore the 14 world renowned surfing points, experience wildlife and lagoon safaris and ancient historical temples and monuments.
  Make new friends and laugh with the locals. Experience Sri Lankan cuisine and eat like a local. Ride in Tuk Tuks around the local area exploring this lovely part of Sri Lanka.
