We are a middle aged couple living on our 5 acre hobby farm and home near beautiful Pemberton, BC. We are growing 15 varieties of willow, which we use for different projects. We thoroughly enjoy building and creating around our 'little piece of paradise' and we are more than happy to share it with you. You will enjoy plenty of opportunities to explore the Pemberton area, a fabulous hub of outdoor activity and scenic splendour.
We are now approaching the summer months and have very specific projects with specific skills required. We are heavily engaged in landscaping this year. As well, we have a number of gardens – some basic gardening knowledge would be great (although we can teach!)
We need someone who can weed-eat on the property, cut and stack firewood, shovel and rake dirt, remove and stack rocks, build some rock walls and help get gardens ready for planting. We also need help with installing some paths, in-ground steps, a pond and some hedging.
We are looking for an energetic person or couple who is interested in helping outdoors and enjoying the serenity in their 'downtime' that our property has to offer. And, of course, the mountains of our area are full of possibilities for exploring, whether by mountain bike or on foot.

The Pemberton valley is a renowned and stunning location. Historically, its isolation allowed it to be the centre of seed potato production for farms throughout North America. That farming continues to this day, with potatoes being the main crop, but organic vegetable production of all types being common. The small population and relative isolation also means wildlife is common. We routinely have eagles, coyotes, bears, deer, mink, otter, ermine, wolves, and many others coming by our property. We can help you explore the wilderness which is our backyard. For those who want a bit of bustle, we are also 40 minutes from world famous Whistler. But closer to home, we are situated on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Lil’wat nation, which is a major presence in our area. We are really looking forward to meeting people from around the globe, and sharing our home and valley with you. We also would like to share with you our knowledge of gardening, garden design, and willow coppicing.

This is the ideal opportunity for a couple who love the outdoors as we are located just north of Whistler among the rugged Coastal Range of British Columbia. Our property sits along a river in the deep Pemberton valley, surrounded with breath-taking mountains. Mountain adventures abound, whether on foot, horseback or by mountain bike. We are more than happy to share this slice of paradise and thoroughly enjoy meeting new people from all walks of life. We prefer a couple who is completely self managed and motivated. Versatility and self supervision is a MUST! Your tasks might include but are NOT limited to gardening, moving rocks, weed-eating, raking, shoveling, nailing, painting, staining, mowing, cleanup and anything else that comes with keeping up on the surrounding acreage. We offer a comfortable 26 ft trailer with kitchen. The trailer includes bath facilities, but we also have a full bath in our house for your use, with a separate entrance. There is a BBQ and a firepit for your separate use as well. We will provide two meals a day, focusing on locally grown foods from Pemberton.
We ask that each Workawayer be available to help 5 days per week and 5 hours per day; although we are extremely flexible should you want to help more hours in a day and less days overall. We want this experience to be enjoyable for all involved. You are free to explore Pemberton and its endless adventure opportunities or anywhere else you might like to go during your time off. We are more than happy to share our favorites from a local's perspective. Hiking, horseback riding, cycling, mountain biking, and fishing are all popular activities. The property itself is a relaxing oasis. Being far from major urban areas, the night skies are fabulous. Finally, internet is available.
