Giulia is a lovely person - very friendly and easy to communicate with and to get on with. She worked very hard in my garden mainly weeding and collecting firewood. Mattie was wonderful to have helping out and staying for a few weeks. He was very easy going, easy to talk to, fun and interesting to be around due to his diverse travels and life experiences. He also worked very hard in the garden doing massive amounts of weeding including some very stubborn bamboo, harvesting my feral potatoes and trimming trees

It was such a privilege to have Beck helping out for 4 weeks. He is such a bright, positive, easy going, kind hearted and open minded person with excellent communication skills which makes him a pleasure to host. Beck did some wonderful work in my garden, weeding, cutting down an old tree, making another compost bin and preparing my veggie garden

He worked so hard on my compost bins - turning, preparing them and watering them so that they finally started working as they are meant to (something that I've never been able to do). Beck is also a wonderful cook and it was so wonderful to come home after a big day at work to his home cooked meals. I highly recommend Beck and I wish him all the best with his travels and with the rest of his life as I'm sure he's going to make some amazing contributions to enriching our world.

… read more have such rich and textured personalities. Jenny was really easygoing and flexible with food/meals and made sure I was always set up and happy in the living situation. It's a really great location, close to beach and shopping and so easy to get into Hobart on public transit. She always made sure I felt comfortable with the work out in the garden, and with a big list of diverse tasks it was easy to be self directed and find something useful to do. She is so well connected to the community and cultural scene and I got such a lovely taste of local live music/arts/food/dance/history during my stay. Her care and dedication to the beautiful natural environment in Tasmania is so apparent, and it was so special to explore some really beautiful places with such a passionate and knowledgable guide. We had a lovely Friday afternoon where I took them to my local beach and to some of the local outdoor music and food venues too. … read more trapdoor (that I didn't know I had) in my living room floor. He also did lots of weeding (including some very challenging bamboo), pruning and wood and furniture moving. William also placed a trellis on top of my fence which meant that he had to carefully remove an old vine (and place it back on trellis) and he mended my wooden fence and gate. He also removed branches from some of my trees with a chainsaw. As well as that he helped me after my operation with some shopping and cooking. William has had some fascinating travels so far so he has some interesting stories to tell as well as a wealth of knowledge about Ireland.
