Caroline and Ole are great people.
I've spent a week on the farm and made myself an incredible memories. There was perfect amount of work, to have enough time for my intense reading and lots of walking around this beautiful nordic nature of Norway. The different break from my office job and a big part of rewinding were animals on the farm. Scottie and Sonnie are amazing, playful dog. And for cat lovers, the cat just loves the attention (and food). Ponies are friendly too, some more than another's, but horse can't walk by without some petting while you working.
Overall, this was a perfect first time experience on workaway, even though, I think I was very quiet, but hopefully I've catched up with faur work done.

Hello Caroline & Ole Martens !
I spend almost 1 month at the farm, during winter time, and it was and amazing experience. Caroline & Ole Marten are an amazing couple and being part of their house was a pleasure. The 3 dogs : Sonni, Yanki & Scott are the best trio, and it's always a pleasure to play, walk or just chill in the sofa with them.

… read more of the poneys are really cute, and the winter routine was to giving them food every morning & evening.
The view from the house to the fjord is just breathtaking, and the arounds with the forest, the mountains are like a fairytale.
With chance you can catch some Northern lights ( and actually I was really lucky to see them here), swim on the fjord (really COLD but worth it), and watch "Alle Mat 1" on TV with Caroline & Ore Marten.
My experience at this place was perfect, the good was so good, they really want to make you have a great time them.
I already miss this place, Yanki, Sonni, Scott, Günther, Willy, Freya, Girafe and for sure Caroline & Ole Marten.

Caroline and Ole Morten have been amazing hosts, who made us feel welcome from the first day on and made these 3 weeks we spent with them very special. We were able to enjoy this beautiful place with amazing views and be surrounded by their lovely animals, its truly a paradise and we miss everything a lot. We could help on the farm with painting,
… read more stacking up wood, small cleaning jobs, cutting grass, and watching the house, feeding the dogs and the cat, checking on the ponys when they were on holiday. All was very well instructed and in a relaxed atmosphere, which made the work fun! It was amazing to spend time with Caroline and Ole Morten, as they are very kind people and didn't hesitate to offer us yummy ice creams and show us beautiful spots in the area.☺️ Their animals, the dogs Scott, Yanki & Sonny, their cat Günter and ALL the amazings ponys are just as lovely and friendly, and there was so much time for cuddling with them. We had an amazing time and really want to come back one day. If youre looking for a great culture exchange with lots of laughs, kindness, good food, great views and happy animals, we can recommend this place very much!!

… read more about the history of the place. The work at the farm was not difficult and Caroline and Ole Morten were very helpful. The ponnies are super cute and I had a lot of fun with the three crazy dogs and the cat. Unfortunetaly I had to shorten my stay at the farm due to the current global situation and Caroline and Ole Morten were very supportive in this.
The views of the fjord are just stunning, especially when the mountains are covered with snow. You can just take the dogs on a walk and enjoy some beautiful Norwegian nature. So if you are looking for a friendly and calm place where you can have some amazing views, this is it.

The tasks were simple and we learned a lot and there was always time for ice cream and playing with the most adorable and funny dogs ever ! Caroline and Ole Morten made us feel at home right away, they always made sure we were comfortable and having a good time.

We worked on various projects : we fed and took care of the ponies, cut and stored some wood, put up and repaired fences, prepared fields... Always in a very relaxed and fun atmosphere!
The area is just perfect if you love nature. There are many possibilities for hiking in the mountain, swimming, trips around the fjord...

Kseniya visit ous this autum. She was the most perfect guest. Helpt ous whit a lots of things. And the animlas loved her. Perfect in the kitchen loved the food that she preperd. Teatch me about wool handcraft. Love to have her in our home. Can realy recomend her for other woorkaway family !!!

Riccardo was a workaway at our place this summer. We have a realy nice time. The time was running to fast. He helpt out at the farm whit lots of stuf. Ole morten and Caroline welcomed me not only to Norway but into there lives and family as well.. and in a most touching way. they made sure I always had everything I needed from good food to clean socks and lovely company siting outside in the evening sun chatting about the universe:) The place is truly spectacular.. the story behind and the energy at this place are really something special, we worked nearly as hard as we laughed and loved every second of it. I HIGHLY recommend heading there way if you want to re charge soul with some spectacular views away from the city!
