  Hello, my husband David and live in an old rustic provencale farmhouse surrounded by vineyards near to a Medieval village called Lorgues. I am an artist and a chef, my husband is a carpenter and odd job man. We have three apartments on our property and a very pretty barn apartment where you would stay with its own kitchen, bathroom bedroom and living room. We have two small dogs Thomas and Tilly and two cats Whisper and Stealth, we are hoping to finish building our hen house, designed by me to house 4 hens. There are beautiful local walks and a train station near that can take you to Aix en Provence or further and the other way to Nice, if you do not have a car we would have to drive you to either the station or the bus. We are quite distant from public transport, so that is something to consider when coming here, or just two hours away from Italy. We are surrounded by amazing countryside and near to lakes and rivers. We love it here.
  
  We need a couple for the month of June for the garden and helping me to sort and clear our massive barn and helpme sort out my paintings and studio, I can give you water colour classes as an exchange.

  I am a professional chef, so from me you would learn a lot about French cooking and also I can teach you french whilst we work. I also paint and teach painting so if you like to paint you can join in my classes. My husband is a carpenter and has lived here for 25 years he can teach you a lot about woodwork. Locally we are surrounded by vineyards and you can learn a lot oabout wine and wine making if you desire. Of course there is also a lot to learn about the history of this area which was a strong hold of the Knights Templers or Crusaders. We are a region rich in history. For art lovers, Picasso, Van Gogh, Cezanne, Matisse, Chagall the list goes on.

  Ajuda

  We need help in the garden or I should say field, mainly pruning hedges and helping me with my vegetable garden. We also need help clearing our huge barn, this are simple tasks but you would need to be strong. A couple would really suit being here. You need to be practical and hands on and energetic.

  We have a beautiful barn apartment that would suit a couple, it has a comfortable double bedroom and pretty kitchen, a bathroom with shower and a living room. There is internet and sky TV, We did the apartment up two years ago so it is in very good condition, it also has its own small garden.

  There is an excellent train line that takes you anywhere you want to go to visit. from the coast to the mountains and beautiful lakes. We have bikes you can use to go about on and maybe an occasional use of a car. There are of course buses as well. We live 45 minutes from St Tropez and 1 hour from Aix en Provence and 1 hour from Nice. We are in the middle of the countryside it is quiet, so you will need to be a country person who loves the quiet and calm. We don't drink or smoke and live a very healthy mediterranean lifestyle, we also live a quiet life. We don't want smokers and of course you can drink but you would have to buy your own. We would encourage people who like to have a very healthy lifestyle and are happy in their own company.
