Anna is a very nice person. She always do her best and help me a lot in the house and the garden. The children love her and all the family was sad when she leaves us... So I can only recommend her 100 % ;)

This past April we spent 3 weeks with Jessica and family :) Our jobs included cutting and collecting wild medicinal herbs, gardening, processing veggies for cooking supper, as well as housework and cleaning. Jessica was very direct and particular with how she liked each task done :) In the evenings we would babysit Jessica’s adorable kids, Altan,
… read more Amma, and Ananda! Although the kids only spoke French, we were able to find means of communication between us :) We loved playing in the park together, drawing, dancing, and receiving little gifts.
Our schedule revolved around the children, so some days we would work full days, both mornings and evenings, but then we would receive multiple days off during the week. We were able to go on many day trips to Mentón, Monaco, Sainte-Agnès, and an overnight trip to Nice. With their family, they took us out for a big Easter picnic/bbq and on a boat tour around the coast, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
We slept in a shed amongst the fruit trees and greenhouses, with an outdoor kitchen, shower, dry toilette. We shared the area with Simon, another friendly worker on the property. We mostly received only veggies and pasta from Jessica and shared a vegetarian lunch and dinner most days that we worked :)

El encuentro con Karina fue espectacular! Es una mujer muy trabajadora, de buen corazón que se llevo muy bien con toda la familia. Cada dia daba classe de Ingles a mis hijos de 3, 6 i 8. A ellos le encantaron i apprendieron rapido. Es una muy buena professora con paciencia I tecnicas divertidas para apprender.

I spent three weeks at Grobiologique, which was a wonderful and unique experience! Everyone on the farm is so friendly, helpful and open-minded. … read more the very first moment and treated me as if I were a part of their family. My duties mainly consisted of looking after Ananda, helping with the homework of Altan and Amma, playing with them, cutting vegetables, giving food and water to the animals (turkey, hen, dog, guniea pig), or doing anything else around the house (vacuum cleaning, watering, collecting the mail). Occasionally, I also accompanied the family to the beach, the supermarket, the doctor or visiting friends etc. The working hours were a bit unpredictable, selon the needs of Jess, approximately 9am-1pm and/or 4pm-8pm, but I always got to know them the day before. I had plenty of time to explore the village, the natural beauties (waterfall, creek, mountain peaks), Ventimille, Menton, Nice, Monaco, Antibes, Cannes, Saint-Raphael etc. When I was working, I mostly shared one or two meals with the family. I shared a wooden cabin, an outdoor kitchen, a shower and a toilette with the other volunteer workers. Living there was rural and natural, 100% vegetarian and BIO. We always recieved fresh fruits and vegetables, pasta and rice from Jess.
I would recommend this opportunity to anyone who would love to have an experience far from the comforts of the city and is ready to learn about the daily life of a biological farm.

… read more out with their very cute pets (Rafa, Choisette, and Napoleon). Living in a rustic cabin with a backdrop of greenhouses, lots of plants and hills was a really scenic and humbling experience. The dry toilet takes some getting used to of course but it's convenient.
The kids Alton and Emma are very sweet and it was fun to learn some French from them and teach them English. On our times off we were able to visit Menton and Monaco beaches and on the weekend we took a train to Cinque Terre in Italy!

The stay at Jessica's and Philippe's place was good experience. The place where they live is amazing. Wonderful views and a absolutely nice surroundings to take walks.
We were there as a couple and helped them with the children and the household and on the fields. They have three amazing children. The work with them was a pleasure but also
… read more challenging. The children are really smart so we could learn a bit French from them while playing, even if they don't speak English. But the daily routine is really busy and strict so there is not much space for cultural exchange.
The work on the fields was very instructive. Most of the time Denis was working with a good friend of the family who is very sympathetic. He explained the work very good. But also the work with Philippe was nice and the conversations about live really interesting.
If you want to stay there you should be ready for a real nature experience. We stayed in a caban which is not secured for insects and other small animals. The volunteers have their own outdoor kitchen, a dry toilet and a natural (mostly cold) shower in the garden.

… read more forbidden to bring alcohol or meat to the cabin of the volunteers (and she didn't specify it in the profile), but as Jessica is a very open person with whom you can talk, we were able to exchange opinions and after that she gave us everything we needed !!
In addition, although the cabin of the volunteers does not have hot water, and it was cold days, Jessica let us take a shower in her house, very kindly of her.

But the little village where they live is absolutely amazing as well! … read more lives, they are such kind, friendly and inspirational people who always try to help whenever and wherever they can. Their home is a real magical place fallen in the Alpes Maritimes - you can both see the sea and the mountains from their terrain. There is so much to discover, you can just get lost with yourself in their garden or the forest that borders it. As they live on an organic farm, the food was just delicious. While I was there it was cherry season and I had fresh cherries right from the tree everyday.
I really had a great time and if you should have the opportunity, I really advise you to spend some time at their place, you'll love it!
