Detalhes
Descrição
We are a family with four children (ages 9, 11, 13, and 17), living on a stunning 4.5-hectare finca near the towns of Lanjarón and Órgiva.
We are looking for a few hours of help per week with pruning, land maintenance, and/or other projects in exchange for accommodation in a cabin, yurt or caravan (depending on availability). For those skilled in carpentry or building, there may be opportunities for additional paid work.
About Our Home & Lifestyle
Our farm is a peaceful retreat surrounded by olive, almond, kaki, and fig trees, with a spring-fed alberca (natural pool) and breathtaking views. We live simply, close to the land, in low-impact structures such as yurts, wooden huts, bell tents, campers, and caravans.
During the winter, we enjoy quiet family time, as the rest of the year is filled with retreats and visitors. This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeking stillness, nature, and a digital detox.
What We Offer & Expect
We ask for 15 hours of help per week in exchange for accommodation. Volunteers provide their own food, but we offer weekly trips into town for shopping.
We value healthy, conscious living, and our space is:
✅ Strictly vegetarian (no meat or fish)
✅ Free from coffee, sugar, alcohol, drugs, tobacco, and marijuana
✅ A non-smoking environment
We ask that volunteers respect this way of life and do not bring restricted foods and substances onto the land.
Practical Living Conditions
🌿 Outdoor living – communal outdoor kitchen, compost toilets, hot-water outdoor showers
🔋 Limited solar energy – phone/tablet charging available, rechargeable lamps provided
🚫 No WiFi – a perfect place to unplug and reconnect with nature

Algo mais...
We usually only go out once a week to the local market in Orgiva, and the two closest towns of Orgiva and Lanjaron are about 1-1.5 hours walking distance away. It is fairly easy to hitchike. Free days can be used to explore the neighbouring mountains (our land lies beneath the GR7 walking path), take a trip to Granada (1 hour bus ride) or the beach (1 hour car journey). There are also a few communities in the area and many interesting people.
