We have no words to describe our crazy experience in this beautiful place. We went with the idea of staying only two weeks at the beginning, but everything came together and we ended up with a stay of almost two months.
We loved what we lived there, living in a caravan and getting to know the village of Aurignac, which left us many friends of all

The work with Jean and Grant is very calm, as long as you do things with love and commitment, everything will flow in the best way. They are very calm people who know what they do, we learned a lot from them and we are very happy to know them and to be part of the logistics team of your wedding 🥰.
It is also a place where you can learn English, of the two 🤙🏼😅 David was the one who spoke the least and as the days went by 💪🏼, his listening skills improved exponentially. On the other hand we gained experience in gardening, construction, cooking, waiter work, administration among others.

An absolutely great workaway host, good people to the core! I am so grateful to Grant and Jean. I spent 10 days assisting with some building projects and I could have moved to this small town.
My accommodation was in a very nice caravan among two other caravans, creating a very nice “camp” above the restaurant. It was a great way to create a

My boyfriend and I stayed here for about two weeks. We can assure you that its a wonderful place.
From the landscape point of view it is a very beautiful place, with a view of the Pyrenees and with wonderful surroundings to explore by bicycle (which very kindly Jess and Grant lent us whenever we wanted). It is super quiet ideal to relax and

Both Jess and Grant were infinitely generous at all times, we never had to worry about food and as I said before they always lent us everything they had (ping pong table, bikes, car, batminton, etc).
We slept in one of the rooms in the house with all the comforts.
Regarding work, I worked as a waitress in the restaurant and my boyfriend in the kitchen. We also take care of the garden or clean the house. Hours were always flexible and jobs varied, so we never got bored. Neither of us knew French, but that was not an impediment in the least to function at work or with the others. Although our work was not paid, at the end of each shift in the restaurant we divided the tip among everyone.
The best part however were the people we met in this experience. Grant, Jess, the kids and the other workawayers were the best of everything. We managed to make a beautiful team and make good friends.
We highly recommend this place! Do not miss it.

… read more kept well fed, courtesy of another workawayer who was a chef; I couldn't say how it might have been otherwise. My main 'work' was driving, cleaning the restaurant and kitchen, and occasionally waiting tables, and weeding. It was varied enough and didn't get boring. The company of the other workawayers was the most enjoyable part.
Other comments that might be noteworthy for potential workawayers: I was housed in a caravan which was unbearable in the summer heat, but sleep was possible because the evenings cooled; I showered etc in the house; I was not offered payment for my work but the tips were split between those that worked in the restaurant on the respective days; Not much in the way of a FRENCH language exchange available apart from a few comments to customers. I recently spent 6 weeks in Aurignac with Jess, Grant and the boys and it was an absolutely brilliant experience. Everyone was very welcoming and made me feel right at home. The house and restaurant are in a beautiful location in the countryside with rolling hills all around and a stunning panorama of the Pyrenees on the horizon, which I was able to visit with Una and Stefanie, the two workawayers I shared this experience with and who also helped make it an amazing summer.

Arnaud was wonderful! Very capable warm and friendly. He was super helpful and not in a "can I help you?" Kind of way but a can-see-what-needs-to-done and just does it kind of way. He instantly became part of the family and was great with the kids. We loved having him and he is always welcome back.
