  We’re located at the top of a mountain in the beautiful lush region of Asturias, northern Spain - offering some of the most stunning views around. It feels both remote and connected: just a 20-minute drive takes you to either the lively town of Infiesto or the coastal village of Villaviciosa, known for its surfing beaches.
  
  For those interested in the local city life, both Oviedo and Gijón are less than 45 minutes away by car, making it easy to access airports, train stations, and bus routes.
  
  We’re in the municipality of Cabranes, a hub for a vibrant alternative community. Here, you’ll find permaculture projects, ecstatic dance, contact improvisation, yoga, other 'spiritual' activities and even a monthly alternative market in nearby Santolaya - just 15 minutes away. Besides that, the area is full of scenic mountain hikes, waterfalls, and more magic to be explored.
  
  In recent years, people from across Europe have been increasingly drawn to this region. It’s growing in popularity, and we’re lucky to be right at the heart of it all!
  
  More about me as a host:
  I am a professional climber and artist, working mostly as a film director and screenwriter, but also as a music composer. I love dedicating myself to many kinds of creative expression, ranging from dance to film, music, drawing and painting. The vision for this project is to create a fertile soil - both literally and figuratively - for self sustainability and all kinds of creative expressions to happen.

  Oportunidades de intercâmbio cultural e aprendizado

  At the beginning of your stay, we’ll set our daily rhythm together. A typical day might look like this: mornings are usually kept free for personal time. Around noon, we gather for lunch, followed by help on the current (permaculture) project. Late afternoons are more flexible, leaving room for exploration - either together or on your own - as well as time to relax. In the evenings, there are often nearby events worth checking out, and we also enjoy shared dinners, campfires, and community sauna nights. From time to time, we’ll head out on trips to discover more of Asturias - and there’s plenty to explore!

  We’re in the early stages of creating a permaculture project on the land surrounding the house, which is our main focus right now. Alongside this, we’re also creating space for community nights - gatherings with shared activities like sauna sessions, campfires, live music, and other joyful moments together. We warmly welcome any creative or constructive ideas to help bring these gatherings to life.

  Acomodação

  Besides the main bedroom, the house has two other simple bedrooms - each with two single beds including bedlinen. Each bedroom also has a wooden cabinet. The place is simple, so there is room to decorate it and make it your own if you feel the need.
  
  We will provide basic breakfast and lunch amenities for you to enjoy, consulting your preferences. Our shared meal will be dinner, for which I will provide the ingredients. These meals will be organised in exchange style: We will cook some of our favourite meals; and hopefully you can share some of your favourite meals as well or we can cook some meals together. We will discuss the details in person.

  I personally use my own phone as an internet hot spot, which works fine for all regular internet use (checking e-mail, occasionally watching movies, and so on). Since the house does not have an internet connection of its own, I suggest you do the same. If you don't have a hot spot of your own, my hot spot can be made available for limited use (checking e-mail and other basic things).

  There is one parking space in front of my house, which fits a campervan or two cars. Besides that parking space, there is also a garage available - which only fits one smaller van or car.
