Help with some garden projects at my home on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada

  I am a middle-aged male with no kids or pets in a medium size house and yard. I work for the Government on a Coast Guard vessel but am currently on leave. I am often away from home for up to two weeks at a time. I have a fairly new 3 bedroom, three washroom house and 1/2 acre fenced yard in a small out-of-the way community on a mountainside with a view of the ocean on Vancouver Island. I am about 15 minutes from the nearest town. Bus service to a major city is about a 5 km walk and a 90 minute ride.
  
  I had a mature workawayer that stayed with me for 6 months of the year for three seasons and it worked out wonderfully, but she has retired and moved on and much of the work I needed done has been completed. She kept to herself, was super quiet and super clean and we lived under the same roof very well. I would be lucky to find someone that was that good of a fit again but I am looking for someone much shorter term for now.
  I have several short term jobs around the house I would like to get started on. Most of these are gardening and landscaping but there's some painting to do as well, indoor and outdoor. Someone who is comfortable on a ladder and can use a lawnmower or weedwacker would be a plus.
  I cannot offer to prepare your food as my eating times are sporadic at best and I'm probably not the best cook. But, when I do make food, I would make extra portions and I will always keep the fridge full with food of your liking. I basically need a self starter than can work unsupervised. You would have your own private bathroom and bedroom.
  I would certainly entertain socializing and exchanging stories and backgrounds but I cannot really offer to be a host to a guest visiting the country and hoping to find a travel guide and transportation. Ideally, you will have your own transportation or be happy with and occasional shuttle to the nearest bus stop. There will be a small desk in your room and a monitor/remote and Roku as well. Full dresser/drawers and some closet space. Plenty of room for a car and you could use my small garage for cleaning and maintenance.

  I work in the Public Service as a Law Enforcement Officer and have extensively traveled throughout Canada and other countries so I can offer a lot conversation and stories on Canada's society, political structure and governments. I also would be able to advise or even accompany my guest(s) on local and distant places to explore and discover.

  I am looking for help maintaining my yard and keeping the house clean. I am hoping to find someone who is at home and enjoys doing outside work and would prefer someone who is experienced or considering a career in interior design and/or exterior landscaping. You would be able to consider my house and yard a blank canvas for you to design and create.

  Although I'm a few kilometers away from the nearest store, I live in a gated community of almost 300 homes, so there is always someone around, just no traffic, horns and big box stores.
  You would have your own bedroom/bathroom and tv/computer room and a separate private entrance. We would share the kitchen and main TV room (when I am home).
  I would not be able to provide prepared meals but would keep a fridge stocked with whatever food you want and would gladly share cooking responsibilities for the two of us when at home.
  We would have to discuss having other guests while you are here.

  There actually is not significant amount of work I am looking to get done. If yard maintenance, landscaping and gardening is appealing to you, you will probably be at home here. It's a small neighbourhood hidden away in the mountains with some great local hikes and a variety store a 10 minute bicycle ride away ( I have a bicycle you could use too).
  I don't require someone here for an extended or uninterrupted period. You could come here for a few weeks and leave to another location for a few weeks and return for as long as you would like to.

  I have fiber optic internet with unlimited download and VPN. There is a room here with a vacant desk/cupboards and external monitor if you need.
