  We are 2 artists / graphic designers with 2 boys (aged 16 and 21)... 16 year old still lives at home. 21 year old lives in Melbourne but home some weekends. We live less than 1.5 hours from Melbourne in idyllic Hepburn / Daylesford. We love our rural area for the creative community and the laid back country lifestyle. We have two cats, one is getting older and wants lots of attention, they are both smoochy. We also have 9 chickens who provide us lots of eggs!

  Oportunidades de intercâmbio cultural e aprendizado

  We run an art gallery in Hepburn that hosts many artistic events throughout the year. Everything from art classes and yoga to exhibitions and group shows, movie nights and events for our 3 annual festivals (Chillout in March, Words in Winter in August, Swiss Italian Fest in October). We love it when people like to get involved in our local community and offer many ways that you can do this.
  
  We will be sharing our home with you, we lead a busy lifestyle heading to Melbourne & Ballarat each week for work here and there. We invite people who are happy to pitch in and join us in the many and varied things we do and are also happy to be left to do some gardening or other tasks on their own sometimes too!

  Ajuda

  The stay will be at our home in a spare room. We both work full time lecturing, mentoring and running the gallery and need lots of help around the place, especially in the garden. We have two properties to maintain. In return for 5 hrs of work per day we will provide accommodation & all meals and good conversation!
  We have a pool to swim in summer and cosy central heating in winter. Duties will include:
  
  - Oiling our deck / painting a fence
  - Help create our veg garden weeding
  - Mowing / brush cutting
  - Pruning trees
  - Potting plants
  - Weeding / Watering
  - Mulching / Composting
  - Helping with meal preperations
  - Light cleaning duties (vacuum, mopping)
  
  We have space for up to 2 people in a spare rooms in the main house with a queen size bed. We also have accommodation at the gallery in a caravan.

  I would like to learn dutch (Morgan) and Kim has some very basic Norwegian from her exchange there when she was 16 years old.

  We have a pool to swim in summer and cosy central heating in winter. At our second property there is a caravan available with a double bed. This has it's own facilities (kitchen) and a seperate bathroom with shower and large bath and toilet a few metres from the caravan.

  Mixed diet. Veg ok. No Smoking Inside. Broadband Internet. Prefer 1 week stays, negotiable after first few days. Local store 20mins walk. Bikes available. Train & bus to Daylesford from Melb daily. Tourist area well know for natural mineral water, massage, bush walks.
