First of all, Caroline, I want to say a huge thank you for giving me such a wonderful time every single day.
She is such a beautiful and lovely person, and I was incredibly lucky to stay at her place for a month.
She taught me so many things—how to plant, how to cook amazing vegetarian food, European culture, and so much more.
Above all, I

From the moment we met until the very last day, she welcomed me with warmth, making me feel at home even though I was far away from my own country. Every day felt as comfortable as being back with my family.
Meeting Caroline on this journey is something I will treasure for a lifetime.
I’m really looking forward to seeing you again somewhere soon.
Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart.Feito pelo anfitrião para o Workawayer (Kozue)
Kozu came to stay with me for a month in January and February. It was absolutely lovely having her here. She is such an easy person who immediately fitted in with my day to day routine. She has a sunny personality, always seeing the best in everything and everyone. It was truly a cultural exchange, made so easy because her English was excellent.
… read more We had so many lovely conversations and so many amazing meals. Kozu is a really good and intuitive cook. She cooked quite a few Japanese and Asian dishes and taught me how to prepare some Japanese food. She was very ‘hands on’ around the house, knowing what needed to be done and just getting on and doing it. Before she arrived I’d made a list of potential jobs to be done in the house and garden, before she left I think we’d just about done everything including her neatly stacking the huge pile of firewood and planting up the garlic bed - not easy with the cold and mud.
Kozu, thank you for everything. I’m missing you already (and so are Patty and Boyo) but I know that we’ll meet up again somewhere, sometime. All the best on your onward journey!

I stayed at Caroline's Place for 3 weeks and it was really nice! Caroline is a great host and it feels very homey to stay at her place. I did some gardening and some organizing and some renovations and it was all fun and not to hard work! I enjoyed the nature and the quietness, but I enjoyed our little trips to the villages and Towns around too.

Emilie (Milli) stayed with me for 3 weeks and I felt really sad when she left. She is a girl who spreads joy and leaves the world a better place. She is self motivated, has boundless energy, plans well, uses her own initiative and intuitively seems to know what needs to be done and how to do it. She is respectful, was very tuned in to my needs and

I was procrastinating on cooking supper one day because of doing something else, then went through to the kitchen to find that Milli had already cooked the meal. She's a great cook and always seemed to know which vegetables needed using up, so used those first and would remind me when things needed to be put on the shopping list. She was a lovely companion to have here - really good company :) and was happy to come along on supermarket trips, to the rubbish tip, the car wash, whatever needed doing. It's as if my house and garden has had a makeover! Milli, thank you soooo much for your help. I'm already missing you and would love you to come back sometime!
Our stay in Caroline's lovely nest in the French countryside seemed to magically fall out of the sky, and it was such a gift! We had been traveling in the Middle East, flying out in two days and didn't have plans for our next destination. Caroline reached out through this terrific site and off we went to a very special place to meet a wonderful

Our accommodations were clean, comfortable and sweet and our meals healthy, fresh and fantastic (Caroline is an excellent cook)! Caroline could not have been more warm or welcoming, and we loved learning about her interesting and inspiring life (this happened over time since she is quite humble and an excellent listener). We enjoyed helping out with household tasks and gardening as well as running errands in the nearby villages. We would return and laugh together as we recounted our experiences trying to communicate with nice local shopkeepers trying to understand our *very* limited French. Seems we were always laughing and sharing stories of one kind or another - she is so good-natured and kind and fun. A big highlight was being invited to join in for a karaoke singalong she was doing with some friends in Asia over Zoom - a joyful new life experience!
We also enjoyed some time on our own in the area, visiting Parfondeval, Reims and Champagne (Caroline gave us great tips and suggestions). It's a really beautiful area.
We were sad to say goodbye to Caroline when the time came for us to go, but we hope and sense that this is only the beginning of our friendship and that more adventures together await! Will be fun to see where and when they happen and how the magical details will unfold. Heartfelt thanks and much love to you, Caroline <3 We are so grateful
I was pretty desperate trying to find a Workawayer when Brigid and Ann parachuted into my life. They stayed for 10 days from 19th to 29th June. What a ray of sunshine they both were. What a blessing that Usmane contacted me via Workaway! He stayed with me in Northern France for a week and was a lovely person to have to help me. He is very mature in his outlook. Staying at Caroline's house for more than two weeks, it was an unforgettable experience. Caroline is like a mother who takes care of everything in my daily life :)). But I really enjoyed the process of stay with her and the conversation with her. During this period, my English also improved a lot. Thank you for helping me regain more confidence.
… read more Caroline is also a great cook, and meal time is the moment I look forward the most every day.
The job involves gardening, including pruning, weeding, and cultivating. The garden is very beautiful and there is a peach tree, it is a pleasure to work in the garden when the flowers are in bloom. During this period, I also listened to Caroline share the concept of permaculture, which gave me some inspiration. I also hope to put these concepts into practice in my future life.
In addition, this is a very small village with many farmlands around it. I believe people who like nature and quiet life will definitely like it. When Caroline went out, she also asked us if we wanted to go along the way so that I could see and explore the scenery. Anyway, I’m really grateful for everything during this time.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Yun-Tung (Maurice) was at my house for just over 2 weeks. He was a lovely person to have to stay. He was good company and we had lots of interesting conversations. I can't recommend him enough. I was very impressed by his maturity and

Lots needed to be done in the garden during his stay. He stacked logs, did some hedge cutting, got rid of rampant brambles and ivy, created a vegetable bed in an overgrown patch of garden and put up shelving in the barn. I'm sure I've left out other things!
He also quietly took on tasks in the house, always willing to stack the dishwasher etc.
Great work Maurice - thank you! It's feeling very quiet here now!

We stayed in Caroline’s house for 8 days and what a wonderful time we had. Caroline is a very thoughtful and welcoming host. She is an excellent cook! The communication was very clear. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and the time we spend with Caroline!
