Nature and naturalness, respect and noble dreams: we will like to host people with a conscious soul and an open mind to share our road. Maybe our road can became also your! If it is a road made of hands in the earth, rediscovery of traditions, sharing and humanity.
Hi! We are Antonio and Luisa with our three young children (2-9 years).
About 10 years ago we left the city and put aside ours our professions as Journalist and Pedagogist to grow ourself and our children in the countryside, allowing them to discover nature and benefit from it and completely changing our lifestyle. We are working for food self-sufficiency and for the rediscovery of the essential values for life.
We love art, literature and music. But not only. We are passionate about old stories and antiques.
We respect older people and we believe that they are the greatest cultural value.
We like to converse, in a profitable way, with people and to explore different topics. We are convinced that it is not important to agree, but to welcome and accept oneself and the others, and why not, to question oneself.
We are part of nature and we live respecting it and taking care of it.
We live in an ancient and large house that is located above a small and picturesque forest, in the hills. We have the vegetable garden (biodynamic and natural cultivated), fruit trees, many of which are wild.
Our property is located in the countryside on the edge of the historic center of a very nice country, cared for and inhabited by sunny and kind people. It is located in Piemonte, in the hills between Langhe, Roero and Monferrato (the wine area UNESCO): a few km from Asti and Alba (famous also for white truffle).
There is no traffic and in addition to the church, the bar and the library, there are many streets of dirt for walks and some impressive houses of architectural value to be admired. It is possible to admire castles and old church in the neighboring villages, within walking distance.
Our days are dynamic and we spend a lot of time in our house-farm, working hard but trying to respect our biological rhythms and above all giving space to the child needs of our children and accompanying them towards a harmonious development aware that we are all an example for them.
We do everything we can with our hands. We often experiment with "new jobs" and like to learn new techniques.
We often host friends at home with whom we carry out cultural projects and some related to pedagogy (Waldorf) that we prefer for our children.

We offer the warmth of family, solar and cultural environment, healthy food (from our garden or produced with organic / biodynamic methods) and respect for the whole person.
We can teach you the Italian language (we are graduates and we have already done it successfully for other travelers) and we would do it with pleasure.
We can teach you about Waldorf pedagogy, natural cultivation, care of animals, a lifestyle connected with nature and season ritmy.
And also sharing our knowledge about restoration of paintings or furniture, fundamentals of theater, small manual jobs, children's education, literature, art.
You can speak English (we also like to improve our language skills) or Italian.
You will have free time every day to hiking or to practice your hobbies.
You can take long walks in nature and discover the historical and architectural beauties of the neighboring villages.

Ajuda
We are looking for calm and easy going people who are willing to stay with us for at least three weeks.
We do not have a specific research profile, nor do we require specific skills but we are looking for people of good will who know how to relate appropriately to children.
If you have specific skills as a teacher or craftsman, offer them!
If you are looking for a warm home in which to spend a medium to long time, know that we can evaluate a long stay.

Our usually Activity:
Wood cleaning.
Grass management.
Fruit harvest.
Gardening.
Antique wood restoration.
Restoration of old paintings and wall frescoes.
Preparation of the earth for the new vegetable garden (we do 3 cycles).
Children's entertainment with painting, music, outdoor games (we are not looking for a babysitter).
House cleaning and maintenance.
Vegetable picking for lunch / dinner.
Breakfast preparation.
Conservation of garden products (jams, canned tomatoes).
