♡ Edit: Me and the animals are looking for long term volunteers (single or couple) who want to settle in for a few months (at least two months) during spring and summer. ♡
Welcome to Gransjö, a big unique house in the southern Swedish countryside, surrounded by beautiful nature, lakes and forests. I am a women in my 30s living here along with volunteers, friends and plenty of rescue animals: five cats, one dog and three horses. Some of our passions are animals, vegetable growing, sustainability, meditation, spirituality, old houses, old things, sewing, traditional carpentry and crafts, consious relationships, cold and warm swims. We grow a lot of our own food, working on being more and more self sufficient.
The help:
We are inviting heart centered, animal loving people to come and help with general maintanence around the farm and inside the house. For example cutting and chopping firewood, animal care, fixing fences, cleaning the yard, projects in the house etc. We are happily inviting people who enjoys physical work around the house and farm. There is also time to enjoy the nature or
I often go away for work up to two weeks in a row and during these periods you would be house- and petsitting along with potential other volunteers. Housesitting includes hanging out with the animals and doing the daily animal chores, making fire in the wood boiler to keep the house warm, gardening and plant care. A perfect chance to connect to nature, animals and yourself. ♡

We love to connect with people from around the world and share experiences, dinners, laughters and languages. Being a host for many years now, we really enjoy the kind of friendships you can build when living and working together. We are happy to share our experiences from this lifestyle in areas such as permaculture, house care, traditional swedish painting and building techniques, animal friendly animal care :) and everything else that comes with living on the countryside close to nature.

You will be living in the main house in you own bedroom with hang out areas. You share kitchen and bathrooms with the rest of us.

In your time off you can enjoy long walks in the forest, a bikeride, hang out with the animals or have a glass of wine on the veranda. In the house we also have lots of space for painting and other crafts. Or why not go for a swim in the nearby lake (3 km from the farm). By the lake there is a village with a little shop, an outdoor gym and a sauna that is open once a week. The public transport in the area is limited but excisting.

You have your own desk and constant access to wifi.

We have a lot of space in the courtyard for any size campervan and also space inside for hanging out, using the toilet, shower and kitchen etc.
