Hello, I am an artist living in Deia Mallorca, a beautiful village in the World Heritage site of the Tramuntana. I grew up in an open household where many young people, friends and friends of friends were welcome. They enriched my life in many ways. Thus I enjoy meeting new people and the positive energy and enthusiasm that my workaways have . I insist on following the philosophy and mission statement of workaway so please be sure to be aware of that when requesting me to host. I share my space as family style.
I want to use my ceramic art for change and welcome conscientious workaways to use their skills to help me promote marine conservation here on Mallorca.

Deia is a small town and part of a world heritage site. The nature is beautiful and the living is healthy here. You will meet people from all over the world , many of them are creatives ; film makers, ceramic artists, painters, writers, poets, photographers , sculptors etc. You can swim in the sea and enjoy a healthy lifestyle, walk in the mountains and drink from natural spring water and eat local , organic veggies and fruits. . I will share my beloved community with you and we can share food recipes and exchange ideas and teach each other new skills .

I usually have a combination of various tasks such as general house help including some small garden help and computer help to promote my non-profit marine conservation project. That would include taking photos and helping with promotional content.

I have a clean and simple room with a double bed and shared bathroom to offer. I have very lovely views from every window and on my terrace in beautiful Deia , a 20 minute walk to the sea. I provide room and three meals a day mostly locally grown organic veggies and fruits yet I can accommodate some animal protein . We share meal making.

There is much to do and see and explore on the beautiful island of Mallorca !! You can swim in the sea and enjoy a healthy lifestyle, walk in the mountains and drink from natural spring water and eat local , organic veggies and fruits. . Palma city is only a one hour bus ride away so one can get there easily for some cultural activities as well as explore the rest of the island. Nearby Soller is only a 20 min bus ride and has lots of shops and restaurants as well as a port.
I do not have an internet router at my house. I use my phone to hotspot . When i am at home workaways can connect to that . Otherwise we have a llibrary with internet and cafes that offer it also.
The first week I usually give the day of arrival as one of the workaway free days and the last day of the week also. I suggest that you arrive early in the day so that you can have the day to explore the area and get the most out of it. Schedule your flights to fit the bus schedule. You take the bus to palma center and change buses to bus number 203. You can find the schedule on-line . google palma-deia bus schedule # 203.

We spent two weeks with Joanna and we really enjoyed it. We worked hard, We helped to move and did general maintenance in the new Joanna's house. Anna also did some ceramic and she really enjoyed that. In exchange, she gave us an amazing accommodation, great and fresh food and good wine.
