  Hi Workawayers, we live in a family home with a lovely view of the sea only a 20 min bus ride to downtown Vancouver and just a 15 minute drive to the local Northshore mountains. We love the mountains and the sea, and enjoy summer hiking in the mountains to beautiful lakes, sailing on the sea and swimming. In the winter months we enjoy snow-shoeing, downhill ski and cross-country ski either at Cypress mountain close by, or at Whistler for day trips. Our local shops are just 15 min walk to Ambleside.
  
  We are an Aussie couple who have recently young adult children who are ping ponging in and out of home on various adventures for work and Uni, and we live with our 4 year old Aussie Shepherd called Disco. He is now the baby of the family and loves walks, treats and cuddles. Disco gets very attached and will follow you around and wants (and gives) lots of love. He is well behaved (except when he spots food!) and is very loveable and talkative. We travel quite a lot and are looking for help dog sitting/walking, as well as light tasks around the house (cooking and cleaning) and some gardening . We both work from home, but have flexible schedules.
  
  We also have an in-law suite downstairs and a lovely Canadian/Swiss young couple live there. They have lived with us for 4 years and Disco regularly visits them for treats! We share a laundry with the young couple, but otherwise they have their own separate space.
  
  Vancouver is a wonderful place to enjoy the great outdoors or get a taste of culture downtown at the many music and theatre venues. One of our fave festivals is Bard on the Beach, which is a Shakespeare festival running through summer. In winter there are many concerts, choirs, jazz performances etc so you get the best of both worlds here.

  We are an Australian couple, who has lived in many countries including the UK, Dubai and in Vancouver, Canada. We speak English only, and love sport (both watching sport such as American football and playing sport). We also enjoy theatre and music performances. We have a very laid back lifestyle and are not formal people. We also enjoy a good laugh! Improv theatre is fabulous here in Vancouver!

  Ajuda

  We are looking for dog walking and dog sitting when we are travelling or busy with work/activities. Disco loves 1-2 hours of walking per day and enjoys hanging out at Ambleside dog beach playing with the other dogs. He also loves hikes in the forest. He is not a big swimmer though! He is well trained and has pretty good recall, especially if you offer him treats.
  
  We would also like house cleaning including vacuuming (Disco sheds a lot), cleaning surfaces and bathrooms. Sometimes we may ask you to bake cakes or cook dinner and we will provide recipes to guide you. In the Spring/Summer we may also ask you to do some gardening.

  We have a private bedroom with shared bathroom (including bathroom and shower). We also have a separate powder room (vanity and toilet) which can be used. These rooms are all on the upstairs level of our home. We have a shared kitchen, sunroom, deck, TV room. We normally eat at the island bench in the kitchen or outside on the deck. We can cook together and it would be great if you can cook some meals. We usually eat a lot of healthy organic food - meat, fish and veggies. We are gluten free, but happy if you have bread or pasta separately. We can accommodate vegetarian diets.
