Help me with my 2 and a half year old toddler while I juggle cooking on a very large sheep station in South Australia

Wow!! What an incredible experience!! Edwina and kids are amazing; I miss you all already! It was an absolute pleasure helping out around the homestead; baking, cooking and goofing around with kids. I will miss our spontaneous dance parties and hide and seek games!

This is belated feedback for Toby…sorry Toby for my total tardiness!
Toby is awesome, he has a hunger and taste for life as he does for food...so you've been warned he has a large appetite:) but he can control it and its kind of amusing.
Toby came and helped us during a very difficult and confusing time. He was understanding and also a good

He was good with the kids in the classroom and out of the classroom, he has very good trampolining skills.
What we were most impressed by was Toby's ability to give station hand work a go. He had no previous experience but really gave it his best and proved that he was capable out on the motorbike mustering and working with the sheep in the yards.
Overall Toby is a jack of all trades. He was amazing with computers and tech stuff (my imac crashed and he fixed for me for which I will be forever grateful, considering where we live), he was trustworthy and kind to my boys and little girl, he was a fabulous cook, he was caring to the pets and he could get on a bike and get on with the work out on the station.
I hope that Toby continues to experience Australia to the full! GOOD LUCK TOBY:)

Had a great experience with the family. Ian and Edwina are great hosts and the kids are fantastic, full of beans and a never ending supply of energy.
Helping out in the classroom with school of the air was enjoyable and it was very interesting to see how the school material was delivered over the Internet.

… read more despite his workload as much as Ian was away three weeks. She cooks very well, yummi ! I felt wonderfully at home. I din't worked, I have only helped her and it was a pleasure. I have discovered the life of the Outback. I have learnt so much (school air, piano by Skype ...and BBQ, horse racing, visiting a friend .... I could never thank them enough for this month. She is a french Mary Poppins…great with the kids, fantastic cook, excellent teacher. We feel so lucky to have had her help for an entire month.
Denise is an excellent hand and someone that I feel I can trust implicitly with my children.

Denise is an amazing french cook..her crepes are fantastic! Everything she cooked was delicious.
She is a very tidy and proficient woman and helped me to keep everything under control which can be really difficult with a large family living in the outback. On that note I also want to say how impressed I was at how amazingly well Denise adapted herself to fit into the aussie outback, what an amazing woman! No task could defeat Denise!
Denise was more than a pleasure to have stay and I would have Denise for the whole year if it was possible.
I wish her the best of luck and I hope the next family to have her are kind and caring to her and love her just as much as we have!

If you are looking for a real Aussie outback experience then Sturtvale is the place to be, the fact that it's currently managed by Edwina and Ian with their very amusing, entertaining extremely energetic and awesome children is the icing on the cake!! We have had a blast on the station and would of stayed much longer had time not been a factor!

Ian was patient and encouraging with a huge amount of knowledge about most things allowing a complete newby to survive unscathed experiencing station work. He always made sure the work was interesting and varied, it even included camp cooking, fishing and bush camping. Edwina was fantastic...sweet, charming hilarious (don't feed her sugar!) and a great cook- even taught me some of her own recipes yum yum!! We leave enlightened and much fatter!!! was sad to leave but grateful for the experience. Heather and Adam have just driven off down the track from Sturtvale station and I thought I would take the opportunity to leave feedback about this incredible couple.
Heather and Adam are amazing...they adapted themselves to fit into the roles we gave them on the station with ease. They are the very best workers we have had.
Adam worked
… read more with the sheep and machinery like a pro. Who would have known he was such a farmer/pastoralist at heart. Adam could do anything he turned his hand to.
Heather worked in the schoolroom, cared for my younger children, helped with the sheep work. Her social work/youth work skills are extremely helpful, the tools and strategies she taught me to use with my kids are great. Heather was a great at anything she put her hand to.
These are 2 of the most honest, reliable, fun, musical, hardworking people we have ever had then fortune of meeting.
The happiness they brought to our family at a very busy time on the station will never be forgotten.
