Hi travelers, workawayers, backpackers, volunteers!
** Please note that we are looking for volunteers that could stay at least 1 month **
*** Always looking for Interior Designers, Web and Graphic Designers and Web Content Creators!!! ***
We are a new, modern self-check-in house in the historical center of Santa Marta, just 3 blocks from the Caribbean Sea, a 5 min walk from the most popular bars and restaurants and a 10 min walk from the bus stop to all interesting places around (Minca, Tayrona, Palomino etc.) !
Staff consist of three people + volunteers + Chili the cat (sometimes lazy, sometimes spicy).
Señora Yelitza, the cleaning lady + preparing breakfast
Elizabeth, doing admin and everything else that needs to be done.
Dimitri, doing everything Elizabeth didn't do yet.
The place itself has 7 double private rooms (3x double rooms 2x triple rooms, one 4-person room, one 10-person room), a kitchen guests and volunteers can use, a co-working space, a terrace and a small patio/garden.

Santa Marta is not only a perfect hub to jump to Minca, Tayrona, Palomino etc. You'll learn or improve your Spanish, you will also practice English (most of the guests are Europeans)! You will see and experience how casa works, how the true Costeno culture looks like, and surely you will meet a bunch of interesting people!

General:
We are looking for active, friendly energetic people who likes to have fun, but also are responsible and not lazy. In our Casa
Work is very light. Mostly house-sitting and doing very basic tasks.
We changed Hostel into Casa in 2024. Guests can now check-in oneline and enter the house independently with a door code.

Nearby the hostel you will find transport to Tayrona, Palomino, Riohacha, Minca. All major beaches and cultural highlights around Santa Marta are easily accessible. We cooperate with several travel agencies to do tours to Ciudad Perdida, La Guajira, moto rental etc. We also cooperate with a spanish professor, in case you would like some guided spanish lessons.

Hard workers, punctual, clean, creative, smiling all the time. Chloe and Melisa stayed for 3 months and I hope they can realize their dreams! Their presence will without doubt leave marks here in the hostel for months if not years!
