To start, let me tell you that Nicky picked me up in a cabrio BMW, so we crossed the olives with the Italian sun over our heads. Then everything was better (how is it possible?).
It's a fabulous place to stay, with a lot of nature. You can enjoy playing with a precious baby dog and the other two loved ones, the horses and the morning rides. work
… read more in the garden, and help to repair Aunty Marie's old house.
Also, there are beautiful and nice people in Casalanguida who are friends with her. We spent the time together, and everything was nice.
I mean, we shared the days with people from the UK, USA, Australia, and Italy, in amazing places in Abruzzo, speaking English in a 400-year-old house or surrounded by Italian fields, horses, nature, and good food. Good experience!

The memories created at Nicky's will last me a lifetime, longer if I live more!! I couldn't ask for a more inclusive, energetic, easy-going host. Yulia is a kind gentle person. Happy to work alone . She was a great help with the horses and made a great job of painting the old cottage. And is happy to tackle any task. I would recommend her to anyone

I had a great time at Nicky's home. The house is very nice and cozy and surrounded by amazing views of the countryside. She has nice friends and lovely dogs. I had a wonderful experience of riding and taking care of the horses which was really useful for me. Also I enjoyed painting her aunty's house and was pleased with the result. I gained new

Claudio is great fun. Fitted quickly into the family. And is up for any task .. even helping with the horses. Chopping wood and knocking walls down. We really enjoyed his company and miss him terribly

… read more open community, and make you feel a part of their unimaginable countryside life in Abruzzo. It's beautiful out there, though, all the homeowners and little business owners do a lot of work to upkeep and/or restore the old land and buildings that occupy the area. Nicky has done an amazing job renovating her home (which has a stable and large fields for the horses) as well as a flat in the village of Calalanguida nearby. What she needs is someone to help out, fit into the family and the routine (which mostly just flows the way it needs to), and be open to whatever is going (the variety of things to do is wide, but easy and fun!). Nicky is a lot of fun, a laugh a minute, and really opens her home to to enjoy the space and its surroundings like you are part of the family. You have access to the kitchen and its supplies. The family mostly eats lunch together, and other meals are on a help-yourself basis. Nicky and I took turns making meals. The bedroom and bathroom are super clean and comfortable.
