  Hi! 😊 I'd like to tell you a little about us, our family, and the place we live, because it's important to us that the au pair who comes to our home immediately feels part of a family, peaceful, and welcoming environment. We live in Albignasego, a small town about 10 km from the center of Padua, in the Veneto region. It's an area we love because it combines two things that are important to us: the convenience of having everything nearby and, at the same time, the opportunity to live surrounded by nature and tranquility. We're very well connected to Padua and its main services by public transport, so reaching the city center is quick and easy. This also allows an au pair to get around independently, get to know Padua, go out with friends, and discover everything our area has to offer. Despite our proximity to the city, we're surrounded by numerous green spaces and outdoor areas. There are parks and places to play sports, go for walks, meet friends, and, of course, take the children to play. It's a popular area for families and young people, yet it's also quiet and pleasant. And then there's our family ❤️ We're a family made up of me, 33, and my two "boys": Leonardo, 13, and Nathan, 9. Completing the family is our inseparable four-legged friend: a one-and-a-half-year-old Border Collie, full of energy, affection, and always ready to play and be with us. Our home is therefore a lively place, full of children, laughter, games, activities, and of course, a little exercise! We enjoy spending time together, being outdoors, and experiencing everyday life in a simple, family-like way. For us, an au pair isn't just someone who comes to help us with the children, but someone who becomes part of our family and our daily lives. We'd love to share our life, our habits, and our local area with her, but also to learn about her culture, traditions, interests, and way of life. We think Albignasego is an ideal place for this experience: close enough to a vibrant city like Padua, bursting with opportunities, yet nestled in a green, peaceful, and family-friendly environment. We hope our au pair can feel at home during her stay with us, free to explore her own experiences, and at the same time, part of our family.

  Vorrei raccontarti un po’ di noi, della nostra famiglia e del luogo in cui viviamo, perché per noi è importante che la ragazza alla pari che entrerà nella nostra casa possa sentirsi fin da subito parte di un ambiente familiare, sereno e accogliente.
  
  Viviamo ad Albignasego, una cittadina a circa 10 km dal centro di Padova, in Veneto. È una zona che amiamo molto perché riesce a unire due aspetti che per noi sono importanti: la comodità di avere tutto vicino e, allo stesso tempo, la possibilità di vivere circondati dal verde e dalla tranquillità.
  
  Siamo infatti molto ben collegati con Padova e con i principali servizi grazie ai mezzi di trasporto, quindi raggiungere il centro della città è semplice e veloce. Questo permette anche a una ragazza alla pari di avere la possibilità di muoversi autonomamente, conoscere Padova, uscire con gli amici e scoprire tutto ciò che offre il nostro territorio.
  
  Nonostante la vicinanza alla città, intorno a noi ci sono tantissime aree verdi e spazi all’aperto. Ci sono parchi e luoghi dove fare sport, passeggiare, incontrare amici e, naturalmente, dove portare i bambini a giocare. È una zona molto vissuta dalle famiglie e dai ragazzi, ma allo stesso tempo tranquilla e piacevole.
  
  E poi c’è la nostra famiglia ❤️
  
  Siamo una famiglia composta da me, ho 33 anni, e dai miei due “ragazzi”: Leonardo, che ha 13 anni, e Nathan di 9 anni. A completare la famiglia c’è il nostro inseparabile amico a quattro zampe: un Border Collie di un anno e mezzo, pieno di energia, affettuoso e sempre pronto a giocare e a stare con noi.
  
  La nostra casa è quindi un luogo vivace, dove ci sono bambini, risate, giochi, attività e naturalmente anche un po’ di movimento! Ci piace trascorrere tempo insieme, stare all’aria aperta e vivere la quotidianità in modo semplice e familiare.
  
  Per noi una ragazza alla pari non sarebbe semplicemente una persona che viene ad aiutarci con i bambini, ma una persona che entra a far parte della nostra famiglia e della nostra quotidianità. Ci piacerebbe poter condividere con lei la nostra vita, le nostre abitudini e il nostro territorio, ma anche conoscere la sua cultura, le sue tradizioni, i suoi interessi e il suo modo di vivere.
  
  Pensiamo che Albignasego sia un posto ideale per vivere questa esperienza: abbastanza vicino a una città piena di vita e di opportunità come Padova, ma immerso in un contesto verde, tranquillo e a misura di famiglia.
  
  Ci piacerebbe che, durante il suo soggiorno con noi, la nostra ragazza alla pari potesse sentirsi a casa, libera di vivere le sue esperienze e allo stesso tempo parte della nostra famiglia.

  We live in Albignasego, a few kilometers from Padua, in a quiet and well-connected area. We'd love to involve the volunteer in our daily life, introducing them to our family and the local area. They'll be able to participate in activities with the children, walks with our dog, and local initiatives. Padua is a vibrant and international university city, full of cultural and social events, where the volunteer can meet other people and live independently. We enjoy spending time outdoors and would be happy to help them integrate into the community. Furthermore, it's easy to visit cities like Venice, Verona, and Vicenza from here. We can introduce the volunteer to Italian cuisine, some of our recipes and traditions, as well as the habits and lifestyle of an Italian family with children. Living in Albignasego, we'll be happy to introduce them to Padua and the Veneto region, sharing the history, culture, and traditions of our region and suggesting places to visit and activities. We can also share our experience in managing daily life with children, creative and playful activities, outdoor living, and our relationship with animals, thanks also to the presence of our Border Collie. Above all, however, we believe that exchanges shouldn't be one-way: each person who joins our family brings with them different experiences, skills, and knowledge, and we'll be delighted to learn from them. For us, hosting someone from another culture means, above all, having the opportunity to open our family to a world different from our own. We'd love to experience new cultures, traditions, habits, ways of life, and, of course, new languages. In particular, we believe it's a wonderful opportunity for our children to grow up in contact with people from different countries and learn to understand and respect cultures different from their own. We'd also love to discover new ways of cooking, new holidays and traditions, hear about life experiences different from our own, and see the world through the eyes of someone from another nationality. We hope this exchange will be enriching for everyone: we will offer a glimpse of our Italian life and our region, while the volunteer will bring us a piece of their culture. Our hope is that at the end of the experience, you will be left with not just the memory of a stay in Albignasego or Padua, but the feeling of having created a true human connection and a new international friendship.

  Ci piacerebbe coinvolgere il volontario nella nostra vita quotidiana, facendogli conoscere la famiglia e il territorio. Potrà partecipare alle attività con i bambini, alle passeggiate con il nostro cane e alle iniziative locali.
  
  Padova è una città universitaria vivace e internazionale, ricca di eventi culturali e sociali, dove il volontario potrà incontrare altre persone e vivere anche in autonomia.
  
  Ci piace trascorrere tempo all’aria aperta e saremo felici di aiutarlo a inserirsi nella comunità. Inoltre, da qui è facile visitare città come Venezia, Verona e Vicenza.
  
  Possiamo far conoscere al volontario la cucina italiana, alcune delle nostre ricette e delle nostre tradizioni, oltre alle abitudini e allo stile di vita di una famiglia italiana con bambini.
  Vivendo ad Albignasego, saremo felici di fargli conoscere Padova e il Veneto, raccontandogli la storia, la cultura e le tradizioni del nostro territorio e suggerendogli luoghi da visitare e attività da fare.
  Possiamo inoltre condividere la nostra esperienza nella gestione della vita quotidiana con i bambini, le attività creative e di gioco, la vita all'aria aperta e il rapporto con gli animali, grazie anche alla presenza del nostro Border Collie.
  Soprattutto, però, crediamo che lo scambio non debba essere a senso unico: ogni persona che arriva nella nostra famiglia porta con sé esperienze, capacità e conoscenze diverse, e saremo molto felici di imparare da lei.
  Per noi ospitare una persona proveniente da un'altra cultura significa soprattutto avere l'opportunità di aprire la nostra famiglia a un mondo diverso dal nostro.
  Ci piacerebbe conoscere nuove culture, tradizioni, abitudini, modi di vivere e naturalmente anche nuove lingue. In particolare, pensiamo che per i nostri bambini sia una bellissima opportunità poter crescere a contatto con persone provenienti da Paesi diversi e imparare a conoscere e rispettare culture differenti dalla propria.
  Ci piacerebbe anche scoprire nuovi modi di cucinare, nuove feste e tradizioni, ascoltare esperienze di vita diverse dalle nostre e vedere il mondo attraverso gli occhi di una persona di un'altra nazionalità.
  Speriamo che questo scambio possa essere arricchente per tutti: noi offriremo un pezzetto della nostra vita italiana e del nostro territorio, mentre il volontario potrà portarci un pezzetto della sua cultura.
  Il nostro desiderio è che alla fine dell'esperienza non rimanga soltanto il ricordo di un soggiorno ad Albignasego o a Padova, ma la sensazione di aver creato un vero rapporto umano e una nuova amicizia internazionale.

  We'd like to find someone who can fit well into our daily routine and, at the same time, enjoy this experience. The help we primarily need is with the children. Mornings, in particular, will be the most important time for us: I have to leave early for work, so we'll need the au pair to help us manage their morning routine, accompanying them and helping them get ready for a good start to the day. In the afternoon, however, the commitment will generally be more limited, approximately one or two hours, depending on the day and needs. We'd like this time to be seen not as simply "watching the kids," but as an opportunity to spend time together, play, talk, and share activities. We're therefore looking for a dynamic, cheerful, and creative person who is eager to engage the children and find fun things to do with them. It's not necessary to organize any elaborate activities: even cooking together, going for a walk, playing outside, doing a small craft, reading a book, or simply chatting can be important moments. We also love it if the au pair could teach the children some of their own language, especially English, in a natural and spontaneous way. We'd like them to learn through play and everyday life, without it becoming a real lesson. We'd therefore like someone who's willing to speak English with them, engage them, play, and immerse them in the language, because we believe having a native or highly fluent speaker by their side is a wonderful opportunity. At the same time, we're not looking for someone who has to take over the children entirely or replace us. Our role as parents naturally remains central: the au pair will be a presence alongside us and help with daily tasks, gradually becoming a point of reference for the children. For us, therefore, the most important thing isn't simply that they know how to "do things," but that they have energy, patience, responsibility, and a desire to spend time with the children, establishing a loving and positive relationship with them. We'd love for the children to be able to think at the end of the day: "How wonderful! Today we did something together!"   Vorremmo trovare una ragazza che possa inserirsi bene nella nostra quotidianità e che, allo stesso tempo, possa vivere questa esperienza con piacere.
  L’aiuto di cui abbiamo principalmente bisogno riguarda i bambini. La mattina, soprattutto, per noi sarà il momento più importante: io devo uscire presto per andare al lavoro e quindi avremo bisogno che la ragazza alla pari ci aiuti nella gestione della loro routine mattutina, accompagnandoli e aiutandoli a prepararsi per iniziare bene la giornata.
  Nel pomeriggio, invece, l’impegno sarà generalmente più limitato, indicativamente una o due ore, a seconda delle giornate e delle necessità. Ci piacerebbe che questo tempo non fosse vissuto semplicemente come “sorvegliare i bambini”, ma come un’occasione per stare insieme, giocare, parlare e condividere delle attività.
  Cerchiamo quindi una ragazza dinamica, solare e creativa, che abbia voglia di coinvolgere i bambini e di trovare insieme a loro qualcosa di divertente da fare. Non è necessario organizzare chissà quali attività: anche cucinare insieme, fare una passeggiata, giocare all’aperto, fare un piccolo lavoretto, leggere un libro o semplicemente chiacchierare possono diventare momenti importanti.
  Per noi sarebbe inoltre molto bello se la ragazza alla pari potesse trasmettere ai bambini un po’ della propria lingua e soprattutto l’inglese, in maniera naturale e spontanea. Ci piacerebbe che imparassero attraverso il gioco e la quotidianità, senza che questo diventasse una vera e propria lezione.
  Vorremmo quindi una persona che abbia voglia di parlare con loro in inglese, coinvolgerli, giocare e creare una piccola immersione nella lingua, perché pensiamo che avere una persona madrelingua o comunque molto fluente accanto a loro sia una bellissima opportunità.
  Allo stesso tempo, non cerchiamo una persona che debba occuparsi completamente dei bambini o sostituirsi a noi. Il nostro ruolo di genitori rimane naturalmente centrale: la ragazza alla pari sarà una presenza che ci affianca e ci aiuta nella gestione quotidiana, diventando piano piano una persona di riferimento per i bambini.
  Per noi, quindi, la cosa più importante non è semplicemente che sappia “fare delle cose”, ma che abbia energia, pazienza, responsabilità e voglia di stare con i bambini, instaurando con loro un rapporto affettuoso e positivo.
  Ci piacerebbe che alla fine della giornata i bambini potessero pensare: “Che bello, oggi abbiamo fatto qualcosa insieme!” e che anche la nostra ragazza alla pari possa sentirsi felice di aver condiviso un pezzetto della nostra vita. ❤️
