Dear Narelle and Trevor,
Thank you for let me volunteer in your house. I stayed here for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time. This is a memorable, impressive and invaluable experience in rural Australia.
The jobs are easy. I helped with vacuum cleaning, cleaned the windows, cleaned the kitchen cabins, hanged the washing on the lines, folded the
… read more clothes and put them in wardrobes, washed the dishes, tidied up the pantry, etc.
I had different kinds of activities during my stay and had fabulous time. I visited the Nareen market (farm produce swap) which was held on last Sunday of the month. I went to the horse racing in Hamilton. I visited Catrina’s house and met her lovely daughter, Penelope. I went to a nearby shearing shed and watched sheep shearing. I watched the Christmas parade in Coleraine. I joined a party in Balmoral Bowling Club. It was held by a local nursing centre. I visited a kindergarten and learned some knowledge about fighting fire. Lastly, I went to a Christmas party in Pigeon Pond Oval and met many local people.
I saw some wild animals during my stay, for example, echidna, koala, rabbit, fox, etc. The house is far from the crowd and busy city life. You can enjoy the quietness by listening to sounds of the birds and the nature. Stars could be seen clearly due to absolute darkness in the region. Narelle taught me how to spot the saucepan and planets in the sky.
The three children, Kyan, Teyah and Sian, are very friendly and helpful.
The weather: It could be very cold at night (5 degrees Celsius). Have to use water wisely due to dryness in the region. Reception of mobile phone is weak because I used Vodafone.
Lastly, I want to say 'thank you' again to Trevor, Narelle, Kyan, Teyah and Sian. I miss you!!

I spent nearly a month with this very nice family. The accommodation was very good, the children are funny und the work is more than fair.
It was a very good time, I met many other people, visited a few places and had lots of fun.

Our first workaway experience was with Narelle, Trev and the kids, and we can say for sure it has been incredibly enjoyable and positive, with lots of new experiences for us out in the bush (we saw our first roos, explored farms, visited numerous places, were introduced to many nice people and even rode on a firetruck!)

… read more is very comfortable and more than we could have hoped for and the work asked is very manageable when you have such entertaining and eager children to help you paint and play with afterwards.
We cannot thank Narelle enough for all that she has done for us, even finding us paid work on neighboring farms to help us continue our travels!! We would definitely recommend a stay here to anybody and will be sad to leave, when we finally tear ourselves away.
Thanks for everything you have shown us and helped us with! We hope to see you all again in the future!

Even though the guys are still with us I just wanted prospective Hosts to know that you will be more than happy to have them stay.
The guys are easy to get along with, always polite & willing to help and our kids will really miss them when they finally move on (which we hope is months away!! lol ok in reality they are here to travel ;)
