  We are a lively family of 3 kids ( 18-14-9) and two adults (49y). We live near Hamburg/Germany (30min by train, directly to the city). We have 3 horses, 25 chickens, 3 dogs and 3 cats - our house is about 100 years old, we totally renewed it in 2020. We live directly to the forest, so there is a lot of nature around us - although the next train station is not far away (10min by bike). So we enjoy both: living near a great city, but also in nature with animals.

  We are an openminded family, we had au-pairs for more than 10 years and started with workaway in 2023. Until now, we only made very good experiences, everyone who helped us here, was a real enrichment to our family! ♥️
  
  We have a lot of humor and enjoy days in summer at the terrace with a glass of wine and talking. In winter, we like movie-nights or being together in the kitchen.
  We like to learn about other cultures and are happy to teach you about ours. We love good food and cook every day.

  Allover, we need an additional hand with our daily "chaos": This includes: Cleaning and feeding the chickens, collecting eggs, feeding horses and clean the trail/stables, rake and swipe, walk the dogs, but also playing with the boys (and talk English to them, we really appreciate that), drive them to their activities and helping in the kitchen, vacuum the floor or fold laundry. The more flexible you are, the better. Also - we prefer workawayers who stay longer than a month (one month is minimum, but the longer, the better). And it is obligatory, that you have a driver license with experience. And because we are a non-smoking family, we are not accepting smokers here, sorry for that!

  Acomodação

  You have your own apartment on our space, with your own bathroom and even a small kitchen. You have WLAN and television. Everything is modern, clean and in a good condition! You don’t need to bring towels or bed linen, this is provided by us!

  Hamburg is nearby with a lot of interesting sightseeings, it is only 30min by train (the station is 10min by bike, we can borrow you a bike). You are also allowed to use our car, if you like to drive to the supermarket.
  
  And please once again:
  1. an international driver license with experience is obligatory
  2. We won’t accept smokers.
  3. One month is minimum stay here
  4. because we really like the cultural exchange and speaking English, we aren’t accepting Germans. 😉

  You can bring a dog, as long as it doesn't chase cats or it has to stay on leash on our ground. The appartment has a small stair, which is not good for dogs. So if the dog wants to sleep in your room, you have to carry him the stairs or the dog has to stay downstairs (there is no door)
