  We are a family of 4 with small farm animals and gardens in the beautiful Texas hill country, just 20 min from Austin central. (Animals: 1 dog, 2 cats, variety of ducks, geese, chickens and rabbits)

  This is a great way to learn about off-grid living (solar, well, septic) in a fully modern and functioning home and also learn the practices of a (nearly) self-sustainable family that harvest and process their own food. The property sits on the cove of a lake and when the water is high, you can kayak/paddle board from the dock. Otherwise, the cove is low and makes for a good walk.

  No current farmstay needs but happy to hear about you for future needs.
  
  We prefer nature-loving individuals who enjoy animals and will prioritize their daily needs. The dogs need exercise and ideally should not be left for more than 6 hours. The cats, birds and rabbits will need food and water daily which takes about 30 min in the morning and 15 min in the evening. Travellers must have a car/motorbike because although we are not far from stores, etc... there is no public transport or walkable paths.

  Separate apartment about 500 sq ft (46 sq meters) with kitchen, bathroom, closet, open concept living and bedroom. Very modern, tall ceilings and great view. Food will be purchased independently (nothing provided) but kitchen will be stocked with all dishes, pots, pans and the basics like herbs, oil, etc.
