Chistopher and Floor were great. Fitted in well, were independent and used their initiative. We could totally trust them with anything even using their own ideas. It was a hot time of year and they were able to adapt and work with it. Thanks heaps, Liam and Anna

We stayed at Anna and Liam for almost two weeks. We really enjoyed it! They are nice and friendly people and they made us feel part of their family from the moment we arrived.
We mainly helped with weeding and some other jobs in and around the house. They were really flexible and we could plan our working day ourselves. This time of year

We absolutely loved Liam and Anna's workaway in Humpty Doo!
The land they are living on is so beautiful. The accomodation they provided was a very cute standalone bush hut which was bug proof and breezy (not too hot) during the nights. We also had access to their library which had kitchen facilities and plenty of space for chilling, yoga, etc.

They cooked awesome meals for us to share with their family and provided generous amounts of food for us to prepare our own breakfasts and lunches. They introduced us to their friends and included us in activities in the community. Liam and Anna both do very cool work in their community which was inspiring to learn about. It was also inspiring to see their parenting style with their two boys, who are lots of fun to be around!
The work we did for them was varied. Some work on the land and some small concreting jobs which were fun. For the most part they left us to work to our own schedule, take breaks when we want etc. While we were there we helped them prepare for a party they hosted for their friends/community which was so much fun!

Lisa and Célie were fantastic, they were great help, easy going and were able to work independently. Wet season is the hardest time of year here and they had fine with the humidity and heat although unaccustomed to it. Very adaptable and were a great addition to our family for the time they were here. Liam and Anna

We spent a month with Anna and Liam and the stay was great.
Anna and Liam are very open, helpful, warm, fun-loving and understanding people. They were very flexible, had no problem accommodating our wishes and when one of us had health problems they made sure we could see a doctor.
The work was very varied and adapted to us. We weeded, tidied up
… read more and sorted out, cleaned, sorted books in the library, and painted. The working hours were very flexible and we were able to decide for ourselves how we wanted to divide up the work.
As far as the place to sleep was concerned, we had a choice of several options and ultimately decided to live in the family home. We had our own room with a fan and shared the bathroom with the family, which was no problem at all. We were able to cook for ourselves in the morning and at lunchtime and had plenty of food at our disposal. In the evening, we ate together with the family. The food was freshly cooked every evening and was excellent. Anna and Liam had no problem cooking a vegetarian option for us.
Even though the area is rather quiet, we experienced a lot. Anna and Liam took us to visit friends and on excursions several times. They even let us use their car so that we could explore the area ourselves. Apart from that, it's a great place enjoy the peace and quiet.

… read more were very relaxed and trusting with me when it came to tasks and work. I mainly worked in the library, cataloging and organizing. I did some painting, tidying and child minding, all of which I enjoyed.
The bush is such a great place to connect with nature. There are lots of hidden treasures to be found. had a very peaceful stay at the solar village. spent time spot weeding to and from the little swimming spot and painting inside the library. we loved the outdoor shower and the large undercover kitchen space. the block is all bush and isn't really suitable for medium to large trailers. we live in a small camper and just managed to squeeze in.

We spent five days at the Solar Village and really loved our stay. Liam and Anna were very welcoming and easy-going hosts who made us feel at home. It was really eye opening to see how they managed their land and how the Village functioned. Would strongly recommend.

Desiree was an excellent addition to our little family. She was a fantastic help with weeding ( 30+ degrees and 90% humidity and fantastic scanning our historical documents. She enjoyed and relaxed within the nature of our bush block and would be a welcome guest at any house.

Richard was fantastic around the block and house. He was working independently and though the build up, the harshest time of year! Although it is a seasonal normality, it was pretty hot this year, anywhere else in the world would call it an extreme heatwave!
