Hi, I am Lalo, a farmer and musician (composer)!
I am working to realize my dream to build a place where time can stop, and arts and nature and a deep spiritual reconciliation can happen.
I live now, after years living in London, in my old grandmother’s house. In a place where it really feels like time never really moved that fast, where the environment we live in welcome us and transform our being-humans into something very magical.
My dream is to slowly get to a completely auto-sustainable lifestyle, building a sense of community in the area, where every person can give and gift the others with our own essence.
Here there is space to learn how to farm vegetables and animals, to build a spiritual routine, to learn how to cook with whatever we are surrounded of, and to helping kicking off this ‘utopia’!
During a day there are always so many possible activities, from helping working in the vegetable garden or taking care of the animals, to meditation or relaxing and exploring the area, which is truly amazing.
I live by myself, but always surrounded by friendly neighbors!
This area is rich in beauty, we are on a little mountain at only 40 minutes from the sea. So the landscapes offer an incredibly variety of opportunities to explore, and we are submerged by nature and by animals and by incredible trees.
Every season here is magical and it offers its own fascination. From the fireplace during the winter, to the swim into the river or at the beach during summer.
I am also building my music studio here, which can be fun for people to explore too!

This area is rich in cultural and popular activities. There are so many little towns and villages here with they own traditions and festivities!
In February there is one of the most important carnivals of whole Italy, and every month there is some sort of tradition or festival or activity here in the local community.
Lots of my knowledge is still in the process and it will be a shared experience to learn together. But there is a deep knowledge in the elder people around here, always keen to help. From the shepherd, to my neighbor who is a bee-keeper and my mum which knows all about plants and wild grass!
I am very keen to host people and make them feel part of a community and a family. The place I live wants to be a place ruled by love and hospitality. Where there are no foreigns but everyones who contribute with passion to build, to explore and keep these places alive is welcome and it will always be!!

It will be most likely a co-work situation, most of the time. I am searching for someone to help me, rather than taking the whole work weight.
With the Spring and Summer coming, lot of the attention it will be given to seeding and preparing the vegetable garden, to build a new house for the chickens, a small green-house and to keep the land clean.
We will also plant trees this new incoming year, and experiment with ancient and autochthonous variety of plants.
But a lot of attention it will be also given to rest and to discover a sense of ‘slow life’. To build a spiritual reconciliation and to try to escape modern society and its vices a little…

Always happy to exchange languages and to investigate in that sense. I lived in London many years so I can easily speak in English or ‘pushing‘ you to learn some Italian during your stay!
Acomodação
I have a room with two single beds, with its own bathroom in a ‘apart‘ side of the house.
I am not intending to host more than one person at the time for now, so the room will be completely yours and so the bathroom will.
Food will be always be prepared depending on the season and what the vegetable garden offers.
Every type of diet is welcome and I am very happy to explore more recipes together if you wish and to teach you about Italian cuisine (I LOVE cooking!!).
I always make my own handmade pasta, and I try to never go to supermarkets but to buy from local farmers and so on...

The area here is not super accessible. There is a bus service twice a day, but depending on the season I can provide a scooter. But also some things are at walking distance using very old and amazing walk-path.
I am very happy to accomodate helping and sharing my car too:)
