  I know where the expression ‘ living like God in France’ comes from.Since some 5 years ago I bought this very authentic small firm in Northern France, near the Belgian border, I fell in love with my place, my barn, the trees, the region, with the landscape, with the peace and quiet….
  Living close to nature is my device, and I am so lucky with my neighbours sharing this all.
  I am not that young anymore and physically this has some disadvantages when it comes to my amount of energy. So I could use some help.
  Of course we combine work and pleasure, sharing experiences and for those who are interested I gladly share my knowledge on fermentation, sourdough bread, herbs, making waterkefir, kvass, kimchi etc…delicious food & drinks with natural ingredients ( I have to hide some for my wife ;-)).

  There is so much to experience, to enjoy!
  Being a trilingual belgian citizen and with the border nearby in the north, Reims at 60kms, Paris at 150kms you are at the perfect place to discover both countries.
  Or you want to stay here in the countryside, far away from the noise, feel free.
  You want to learn French, or visit those places that built our history?
  Personally I can teach you more on photography on one side and how to get good food, healthy and delicious, fermentation, using herbs you find in nature, baking sourdough bread, on the other side.
  All those apsects John Seymour used to describe in his books.
  He was and still is an important source of inspiration.

  Ajuda

  The kind of work is very diverse: going from small building tasks, over some maconnery, wood projects etc… up to some work in the permaculture garden, to maybe building a wood oven to bake bread for some families in the neighbourhood.

  Acomodação

  This used to be a small little farm consisting of a house, a huge barn, and some smaller buildings surrounding the house.
  The garden is about 2200 squre meters, and divided in a permaculture vegetable garden I am starting up.
  In the house there are two bedrooms, one of those can be used by workawayers, there is a double bed.
  I provide food.

  The Aisne, the region of France where I am, is a secret jewel.
  There is alot of history even I myself did not know before I bought the house.
  There are the two worldwars that took place here.
  As mentioned there is Paris at 150kms, Brussels at 140 kms in the other direction.
  On the other hand public transport is not super, one has to go everywhere by car.
  Once your get to the bigger towns, trains are great.
  
  My wife , our dog, and I,(she is not always here) like to live combining the good and interesting things in life.
  Good but healthy food and drinks, some long walks, working in the garden or the house, having sole friends to come over and enjoy each others company.
  We both like good music, a good book, contemporary dance, nature, hiking, meditation and yoga, ( there is plenty of space in the attick).
  Smoking is not allowed insicde any of the buildings.
