Hello!

We are Virgi and Fran, an Argentine couple eager to enjoy new experiences while traveling through Europe.

We have been living in Spain for over a year. We have spent long periods of time in Alicante, Valencia, and Gijón, three wonderful cities. But we don't want to be “immigrants” yet; we identify much more as “travelers.” So we move around a lot, explore the surrounding areas, and go even further afield.

A little bit about us:

VIRGI. I have a degree in Literature (UNCuyo) and Journalism (UMaza). I work in the world of literature; reviews, book presentations, reading clubs. I love reading and sharing with others through Deseamos literatura, my project of literary workshops intersecting with feminist thought. My hobby is dancing: I practiced ballet for many years, although now I prefer contemporary dance. I have also worked in cafes and bars, dealing directly with customers.

FRAN. I trained in Graphic Design (UBA) and Visual Arts (UNA), specializing in woodcut and engraving, and I teach these techniques to others in my own workshop. I am passionate about music: I play several instruments and have participated in various musical projects related to rock and electronic music. In addition, I have knowledge of gardening and have worked as a professional gardener.

We love art, culture, and learning about different ways of life. We enjoy both nature and the energy of cities, especially their cultural offerings.

We speak Spanish (our native language) and English, and we are interested in learning other languages. We love culinary exchanges.

We are open to all kinds of experiences: from helping with creative projects to working on farms, hostels, or any opportunity that allows us to learn something new and meet incredible people. We are quite flexible and quick learners, adapting quickly to new contexts (like most Argentinians).

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We are a curious and creative couple with diverse interests. Virgi has a background in Literature (UNCuyo) and Journalism (UMaza) and works in the world of books through reviews, presentations, and book clubs, as well as coordinating literary workshops linked to feminist thought in her project Deseamos literatura. She also has experience in customer service, having worked in cafes and bars, and she greatly enjoys dance, especially contemporary dance. Fran studied Graphic Design (UBA) and Visual Arts (UNA), specializing in wood engraving, a technique he teaches in his own workshop. He is passionate about music—he plays several instruments and has participated in various projects related to rock and electronic music—and also has experience in gardening, having worked as a professional gardener. In other Workaway experiences, we have taken care of pets, helped build a house undergoing renovation, and worked on a farm, where we learned a lot about gardening and dealing with guests.

Durante muchos muchos años, practiqué danza clásica y tuve la oportunidad de desempeñarme como bailarina profesional en algunos elencos estacionales. Hoy, no estoy bailando activamente, sin embargo es algo que extraño y me encantaría retomar.
