Hello! I’m Trevor. I’m 29 years old and I’m from Montana in the United States.
I have dreamed about traveling in Australia for many years and will be spending one year (at least!) in Australia starting in October. I have long been fascinated by Australia - the funky and huge trees, the unique and (sometimes) scary wildlife, the vast spaces and wild places - and I’m intrigued by Australian culture and way of life.

I have a music degree in piano performance and composition and I love making music with others.
I teach piano lessons, I’ve worked in inventory management/logistics, sales and marketing, food service (I’ve made a LOT of burritos), retail, and as a ranch hand. Musicians tend to get lots of random jobs to pay the bills :)

My aim is to always be a positive, thoughtful traveler. I’m a fast learner and get along with just about everyone. Some of my most enjoyable experiences are sitting around a fire, sharing stories and jokes, discussing the meaning of life, and generally marveling at the fact that we’re alive on this incredible planet.
I get great joy from new experiences and meeting new people; there is nothing like making new connections and trying new things to add vibrancy to one’s life.

I love being outside as much as possible and care deeply about the environment. I have not done much practical work in conservation and sustainability, but I would like to get involved and learn more about this. Protecting our forest and water habitats is very important to me.

My travel experience has largely been in the United States. I spent two weeks in the Philippines when I was 18 on a group trip, but that’s the extent of my overseas travel. My seasonal work experience includes 5 months working in Denali National Park, running a gift shop. I largely spent my days at work chatting with tourists and keeping the shop clean and stocked. And the rest of the time I explored the outrageously beautiful nature of Alaska, walking sled dogs, hiking, biking and picking wild blueberries.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I play piano and guitar and have a variety of music related skills - teaching, leading sing-a-longs, jamming, providing general excitement and enthusiasm about music.
I've done a fair bit of ranch work and gardening - building fences, weed management, planting and caring for plants, landscaping.
I'm pretty good at cooking and can make very tasty bread!
I've cared for dogs, cats, and chickens, both as an owner and as a sitter.
I have experience as a teacher - I've taught and tutored music students for over 10 years and being a trainer at most of my jobs.
In general, I'm a good listener and a quick, enthusiastic learner. I love being helpful and learning new skills!
