I would really like to thank the chefs in the kitchen (Sara, Thomas and Synge) and Karen Marie for their welcome and their patience and where I was able to learn several culinary basics. But also the members of the community for their kindness. it was a great experience in a unique place and environment. This allows us to consider that such a

I can only recommend Volunteering here! I was there for only a month but everyone made me feel welcome. Volunteers were invited to all kinds of events in the community. Taking part in the traditions like the graffiti on the volunteers kitchen walls made me feel like part of a family. I also liked that we had a lot of freedom and chances to cook on

The only part I really, really didn't like was leaving. I hope I'll have the chance to return next summer.

Me and my friend were here for two months working in the kitchen. It was great, but my advise? Come in April, then the fun starts and the volunteers come. We came in February and were the only two volunteers living in the building for a month, it was still nice and we had the interns and the people from the community to be social with. But in
… read more March the volunteers started coming and it was even more fun. The photo's on workaway don't do justice to the rooms, the room you see is the smallest one. Everyone I met was really nice, I'm not sure if that's a Danish thing but I had a great time. Although we officially worked in the kitchen we have been helping in the gardening group 3 times (if you're more into that they're also on wwoof) and I helped milking the cows twice in my free time. We even had African Drumming lessons from a really nice woman's in the community and planted mushrooms in the forest with Simon the mushroom guy, he has a mushroom lab in his appartement, really cool. I miss the people and the ambiance so much and I will definitely be coming back sometime.
PS: if you're going there find the secret box in the kitchen from syderen!Feedback

I was volunteer in the kitchen for one month in March 2022 and I felt home since the very first moment I came there. It was my first experience as workawayer and I felt so lucky to have found a lot of people who care for each other who taught me so many things about living in a community.

It was a wonderful experience, I volunteered for a month in the community kitchen, it was great to see all the behind the scenes of such a loving and vibrant community, Also I bonded with the other volunteers there, they came from all parts of the world: Japan, Mexico, France... it was great to be able to compare, make friends and hang out

I was a kitchen volunteer for three months and it was amazing ! The people are very friendly and the tasks were fun and well organised and I am still dreaming of the food I was eating there! The chefs are amazing and very respectful and kind.
It was great to live with the other volunteers, we were having bonfires, movie nights and also liked to

Gaia spend a month with us in the kitchen and it was great to have her. She quickly adapted to the various tasks, and was both independant and creative in the kitchen. She also generally contributed to the good mood and atmosphere, and she will always be welcome back!

What an amazing experience! I have been here for a month, welcomed by wonderful people who live by supporting each other. I lived together with other volunteers and that made my stay unforgettable.
I couldn't be happier to have been a volunteer here.
