Hi! My name is Thomas, I’m 26 years old and currently studying English and History at LMU Munich to become a teacher. I’m an open-minded, reliable and positive person who loves meeting new people and learning about different cultures.

I’m planning to spend around 8 weeks in an English-speaking country (preferably the US) as part of an intercultural project for my university, and I would love to join a friendly host who enjoys cultural exchange and good conversations.

I love animals, traveling, bike tours and I have a thing for American Football.

I am studying English at LMU Munich to become a teacher, so language plays a big role in my life. I love learning how people communicate, not only through words but also through culture, habits and daily interactions. Living abroad is the best way to improve a language, and that’s one of the reasons I’m on Workaway. I want to speak English every day, learn new expressions, understand local accents, and connect with people in a natural way. I’m happy to teach German if anyone is interested, and I’m always excited to learn from others and grow my own communication skills.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a wide range of practical skills and I enjoy learning new ones quickly. I’m reliable, hands-on, and not afraid of hard work.
Here are some of my strengths:
- animal care: Comfortable feeding, walking and playing with animals (I grew up with dogs my whole life)
- outdoor work: I am comfortable working outside in all weather (I used to job at construction sites)
- cooking: I cook almost every day at home for my girlfriend and myself (and I love to try new recipes and local dishes)
-teaching/education: Good at working with children and teenagers (currently studying to become a teacher)
