Hi! I'm Susannah—a 40-year-old LGBTQ+ actor, musician, photographer, and handywoman who loves to get outside and explore this beautiful world whenever possible. I grew up in Augusta, Georgia, and have lived all over the US, though my home base for the last 13 years has been Denver, Colorado. I’m currently spending a year in France after spending 2 months here last year doing Workaways and having some incredible experiences. I lead a very active lifestyle and especially love hiking, biking, and walking as ways to explore a new area. I do not have a car in France.

What I'm seeking: I have a dream of creating some sort of community- an artist residency, eco-village, retreat center, or some combination of all of the above- so my primary goal for the year is to see what already exists in these realms, gaining inspiration and clarity around this potential future project. Another goal is to continue to improve my french, primarily through connecting and having conversations with people. One of my favorite ways to connect is by working on shared projects—and of course, I also love sharing food, music, and exploring outdoors together! I’m hoping to stay in most places for at least a month at a time to get a more fully immersive experience.

Skills I can offer:
Photography and videography: I will be traveling with my camera if you need photos or videos of your home and/or projects. You can see some of my photography here: www.mcleod9creative.com.

Construction: I spent 6 months during the Coronavirus shutdown working with friends in construction, so I’ve developed helpful skills with building—though I know there’s always more to learn! I have also done many DIY projects around my own home. I feel most comfortable with carpentry but am always open to learning new things.

Kids / Teaching: I love kids and have some teaching experience. I worked as a tennis coach for kids between 5–18 years old and have also taught music and acting at summer theatre camps. I’m also a very proud aunt to an adorable niece (2), nephew (5), and also a newborn nephew- I absolutely adore them all and would love to have kids of my own someday.
