Hi, I'm Regan and I'm from Southwestern Ontario, Canada. I have done a lot of exploring and travelling in my own country and decided it was time to take the leap and explore the other side of the world. I'm excited about the opportunities that are offered through Workaway to learn new skills, especially in the areas of organic gardening, permaculture, sustainable living, and ethical animal care. Part of the reason I chose Australia for a working holiday was because of the incredible wildlife it has to offer :).

I value the outdoors and staying active whether that's hiking, biking, yoga, or weightlifting/crossfit. I played basketball in university, while studying Applied Sciences (Child, Youth and Family studies). A goal of mine is to learn to surf! I am missing my big family at home (especially my little nephews!), but I am excited to connect with new, like-minded people and be part of the community wherever I stay.

Although my background is in pediatric Speech-Language Pathology (Master’s degree), I’m now eager to broaden my skills in hands-on, outdoors-focused areas like gardening, farming, animal care, and sustainability. I love the idea of contributing to projects that support self-sufficiency and care for the environment. I worked many years as a lifeguard as well, which strengthened my attention to detail, strong communication, and problem solving abilities.
