Description

Meeting new people, learning about their way of life, their projects, and dreams has always fascinated me. It’s one of the reasons I became a journalist, and it’s also what I hope to experience as a workawayer.

I find joy in reading, writing, listening to music, and having good conversations. At university, where I studied German literature, linguistics, and philosophy, I developed a special interest in satirical writing and comedy in general. From time to time, I write for a German satire magazine myself.

By joining the Workaway community, I hope to connect with the homeland of my late grandfather, who grew up in Pennsylvania. Despite my family’s history, I have only been to the United States once. Now, I hope to strengthen ties and make new friends.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Even though I don’t earn my money through physical work, I do know my way around the toolbox. Since I was a kid, my family made sure I got my fair share of work in the garden and around the house in general. I’ve helped fell trees, trim bushes, fix sheds, etc. I renovated my current flat together with my girlfriend.

I grew up with dogs but also enjoy the company of cats. Animals, in general, seem to like me, and the feeling is mutual. I’ve never had any problems. Nor will you have any problems hosting me: I take pride in being a tidy person and was taught to always lend a helping hand to hosts. I usually don’t eat meat, but I’m no vegetarian. Also, you won’t have to worry about me finding my way around. I’ve traveled all through Europe by train and lived in Russia for about a year.
