Hey there :),

I'm Nick, an Edinburgh based carpenter/furniture maker (originally from London), that wants to spend the next decade travelling, meeting more wonderful, interesting people, and contributing my skills whilst hopefully learning many more! Before COVID I'd travelled for 12 years doing many similar things, but during lockdown I decided to take my love of woodworking and go study it more intensely, which is what brought me to Scotland.

I've lived in many different community/group living situations, and am very respectful of boundaries, whilst also loving the social element. I get on best with people that understand this mentality.

In off times I love to be sociable with other workawayers, a game of chess, beer in hand with a beautiful sunset, after a hard day's work is my vision of paradise. I like peace and tranquility, whilst also loving vibrant nightlife, a good mix of the two is perfect for me.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've built houses, barns, studios, saunas, van conversions and lots of other cool stuff, and would love to share those skills with you in your project, whatever that may be. I'm also constantly wanting to learn new skills/techniques, push myself in new directions. Making things is my happy place, all I need in return is somewhere comfy to sleep, the sun on my skin and interesting companions. I'm also a trained chef, and absolutely love cooking for people, especially when there's family meals, so very very happy to also contribute in this way.
