Hello I'm Nel! I'm currently finishing up my bachelors in anthropology this upcoming May.
I am looking for an opportunity post-grad to travel, adventure and integrate into a new pace of life. I want to soak up any skills I can, particularly in sustainable farming, environmental preservation projects, art projects, and any language/cultural exchanges. As an anthropologist, I am well equipped with knowledge (and a BIG passion) of how to integrate into other cultures. I find it so enriching to be granted the chance to connect with people from different walks of life.
A little about myself..
I am a former dancer who returns to movement regularly. I practice yoga and meditation daily. I am a well seasoned hiker and camper.
I am currently interning with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, helping with invasive species removal and preparing for our upcoming prescribed burn. In addition to my internship, I work in a vintage clothing shop on the weekends, so I have experience in customer service and business.
I have a vast horizon of artistic interests, writing, dance, fashion and visual art. I love talking ecology, my relationship to nature is super important to me. I'd love to work in an environment where I can maintain these artistic relationships.
As a bonus, I've done ample research on Indigenous populations in Latin America, so I am really interested in this area !!!
I would also really love to learn and improve my Spanish through immersion!!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have worked at an organic juice bar for 3 and a half years. I prepared food, cleaned, and handled all aspects of customer service and learned the values of natural remedies! I have picked up a good idea of flavor profiles for juices, smoothies and coffee drinks.
As a former dancer, I have experience with teaching technique classes as well as creating choreography.
I have experience with maintaining land, weeding and gardening. I would love to learn more about sustainable permaculture!
