Hello! My name is Monica, I'm 28 & live in California. This is my first time on Workaway and I'm excited to see what adventures await!
While in college I was able to study abroad in Italy and travel to many other countries in Europe. It was one of the best decisions of my life as I had the most wonderful time. I learned so much, was able to see different perspectives, grew as a person, and met interesting individuals.
I have a real passion for working with children; I have a bachelor's degree in Child Development and have experience working with children from 5 months to adolescents in their teenage years.
English and Spanish are my mother tongues and my Italian is intermediate.
I'm hoping to return to Europe, I would like to find opportunities as an au pair and/or in schools teaching English (or Spanish).

I have much experience working with children of various ages. In college I studied child development and I have worked/interned in various school settings.Teaching and caring for children is something that I sincerely love doing, it's something that comes naturally to me.
I speak English and Spanish fluently as these are my mother tongues and I studied Italian in college; I would say my Italian is intermediate. While living in Italy during my study abroad year, I met with a middle school student weekly and helped her improve her English language skills. I feel comfortable teaching/sharing my native languages to both children and adults.
