Hello to everybody that discovered my profile;)
My name is Melissa and I am learned childhood educator. Working with people, especially children, brings me lots of joy. That’s why I started studying to educate myself further. Because of that wish I have, I accomplished to do my practical training abroad in Gent Belgium. It’s one of my main goals to move abroad at some point in my life.
In between my study life, I love to gain new experiences and push myself out of my comfort zone. I am a flexible, reliable and open-minded person. I myself am more quiet, calm and love to listen.
During the last year I had the chance to experience many ways of how locals live, interact and view a cit, thanks to my possibility to travel via couchsurfing.
I think this platform and Workaway challenged me a lot already, which I am forever grateful for because I got to learn what it feels like to closely and lively experience traveling.
In my free time, I like to read books or go on walks with my dog and appreciate the nature. After I moved out of my hometown I started playing Handball again, which I’ve been doing for round about 7 years now.
Throughout my stay I look forward to learn more about a different culture, acquire new skills and meet many inspiring people!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
During my training, I mostly worked with children from 1 to 6 years. This type of work taught me to be a sensitive listener, understanding and empathetic. Children see the world from a unique point of view, which can be very refreshing at times.
I also grew up with all sorts of animals, which lead me to be very fond of them.
