Description
Hey! I’m Iida, a 22 years old girl from eastern Finland. I’ve been in Italy for almost a year now volunteering in a youth hostel. Now my volunteering project is coming to an end but I don’t feel like I’m ready to go back home yet.
I’m a spontaneous and open person who is looking for an adventure to learn more about myself. I’m very interested in people – I love meeting new people, hearing their stories and learning from them. I love the moments when I can find a deep connection with someone who was a stranger to me before. But most importantly, I’m on this journey to go deeper into myself, to get closer to knowing who I am and who I want to be.
I’m a very active person, and I love having physically challenging things in my everyday life. I love sports and I take every chance I have to play team sports but only if it’s not too competitive. I’m excited to try new things, especially if they are related to sports or nature. At first I might seem very outgoing, but I also have a calmer side. Even though I love meeting new people, I also love spending time alone and I have no problem spending even days just with myself. The things I do when I’m alone vary a lot depending on my inspiration, some days I spend all day doing a puzzle, crocheting or doing some other craft project and other days I sit on the couch all day reading a good book. I’m very patient and I enjoy doing simple tasks in peace.

For me it's difficult to learn languages but I want to try my best to learn a little bit of the local language wherever I am. And I'm open to teaching languages too.

Work and volunteering experience:
- Cleaning
- Outdoor maintenance work, for example cutting the grass and bushes
- Organizing events, for example camps for kids, sport events
- Taking care of kids and playing with them
Other skills:
- I grew up in the countryside so I have some experience growing vegetables, taking care of animals and wood work, also building small things like furniture and fixing things
- I have some very useful personality traits, for example I’m very patient and I always do my work carefully. Also creativity is very useful when it comes to finding solutions to problems
- I feel like my communication skills are good and I work well in a group, not only when it comes to completing the tasks but also taking care of others and creating a good spirit inside the group
