Description

Hi, I’m Mitchell (or Mitch) and I recently completed my second Workaway. First was with sled dogs in Alaska during the 2026 winter, and most recently on an off‑grid homestead on the Washington coast. These experiences showed me new ways of life, created highlights in my life and also helped me understand what it is I am looking for in a Workaway experience: exchanging honest effort for an equally meaningful experience.

I’m introverted by nature, but I adapt well to different environments and can be social when the vibe is right. I’m clean, respectful, and reliable. I work hard and bring competence to whatever task I’m given. I’m comfortable with physical labor, tools, mechanical work, drive auto/manual/motorcycles and more.

I’m aiming to travel globally and explore opportunities that push me into new environments; remote, urban, coastal, mountainous, whatever helps me learn something I didn’t know I enjoyed. I’m open to meeting hosts and fellow Workawayers, sharing good conversations, and contributing to projects that matter to you.

Former chemist with experience in related tasks.

Digitally adept, currently focus of remote studies, so tech-literate.

Former administrator with management and bookkeeping experience (not my favorite, but capable)

Competitive endurance athlete — focused, adaptable, hardworking, independent, goal-oriented.

Laborer (not licensed, but familiar with some building and repair work, both solo and assisting).

Experienced in pet and animal care.

I’m generally willing to try new tasks if I haven’t done them before.
