  Description

  Hello all! We are Nadine (30), Philipp (28), Maja (3) and Lilo (1.5), a small but growing family living in a small village (about a thousand people) within the swabian alps, halfway from Lake Constance and the City of Stuttgart. We are currently in the process of establishing a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) on our farm, and have already made good progress in our first year. 2024 will be our second year of farming and supplying fresh produce (mostly vegetables) to our club members. We offer them a weekly box of locally grown organic food, and aim to realize the most sustainable and environmentally friendly way of farming vegetables.
  
  The club members are always involved with the garden and take care of many tasks. Philipp is the head of the CSA and is organizing all daily tasks; he is always around, and will explain and show you everything. Nadine is working from her home office, but still a key part of the CSA in her time off; the girls are in daycare in the morning, but around and busy in the afternoon.
  
  Also, we are still in the process of renovating our farm, improving the living situation for the both of us. Luckily, we have a well stocked carpentry at our disposal, and we are in the finishing stages of that part of our project.
  Apart from that: there are quite a few natural reserves around us which offer many opportunities for climbing, bicycle tours, hiking and canoeing - the one we always recommend most is the Danube Valley. There are beatiful old towns and villages nearby which you can reach by public transport or (e)bike, and there is little tourism in our immediate area. You will experience a life that we consider very much authentic for rural germany, and we will always help you organize any outings you want to make.

  We love to host guests from all around the world, seeking different perspectives. We love to talk about yours and our culture and will always answer all questions that you might have. We were always sorry to see our guest leave! You will be part of a family on the other side of the world, not only for the time spent here. in more practical terms: you will improve your gardening and carpentry skills, you will get to know authentic village life on the Swabian Alps, sustainable living, and you will experience a beautiful landscape that offers opportunities for many outdoor activities.

  Aide

  Starting and running a CSA means building new garden beds, planting and growing vegetables, watering and weed control, harvesting and cleaning prduce. It also means building the infrastructure necessary to do all of these things, for example creating an irrigation system. Renovating our farm at this point mostly involves interior work. You would be asked to help with any task related, usually doing the exact same we do at that time. You are welcome to join with your skills and any interest which matches our project.

  Hébergement

  We can accomodate you in our guest house, which is part of the farm. You will have access to a shared kitchen and a shared bathroom. Everything has been recently re-furnished and renovated, with all amenities provided. We provide all basic food and a lot of other sutt as well, and you are free to eat fresh vegetable and fruits out of the garden. We eat and cook vegan, and try to always share at least some meals - but there are other options available, too. You'll have access to our (e)bikes and electric mopeds. We will always offer ride sharing with our cars. There is a bus stop within 200 meters.

  Autres infos...

  You can - and should - definitely visit the danube valley or any of the beatiful castles/old cities nearby. Multi-day bike tours or hikes are absolutely recommended. Public transportation is somewhat lacking in the immediate area, but we will always find a way to get you to the next train station and pick you back up, for example. Our area is easily explorable by bike though.

  Network (Wifi and Ethernet) is provided (250 MBit/s Down, 50 MBits Up). A workspace and all necessary IT equipment is provided as well, if you`d like - Nadine is working most days from her home office as well.

  We can accomodate multiple mobile homes, any of which can be parked in a sheltered place. Power and running water is provided.

  There is only one rule here - no pets in the house. But we can offer a seperate, secure shelter for your pets outside the house in our workshop or annex.
