Hi there, I'm Mika! Nice to meet you!

I'm a relaxed and social person with a sense of humor and I'm curious about the diverse ways people design their lives! Especially looking for vegan, queer, feminist values and kind hearted honesty!

Most interested in rescue animals at the moment, also finding more queer centered spaces in nature! I chose Workaway for the cultural exchange sooo I'm open to hang out, meet your friends, local music, whatever! I enjoy working, alone or as a team, but also love when spaces are very open to personal energy levels etc and there's not a big pressure of a time schedule (but I know for example in rescue life, times are fixed and that's cool!)

Hallo Menschen!

Ich bin Mika, 23 Jahre alt und endlich fertig mit meiner Ausbildung als Jugend und Heimerzieher! :) Jetzt nutze ich endlich die Gelegenheit, mache mich frei vom schwabenland und erkunde den Rest der Welt!

Ich interessiere mich für Leben in community, Dinge (an) bauen, Tiere versorgen, Hausarbeit, mit der Natur leben, politisches Engagement, Musik und Tanzen.

❤️ Besonders interessiert an punks*, queers, Musiker*innen, Hunden, Menschen die gerne Zeit zusammen verbringen.

🚫 Nicht besonders interessiert an Macho Männern, (sehr) religiösen Menschen, Menschen die sich nicht für die Umwelt und generelle ungerechtigkeit interessieren (in gewissem Maße)

Ich arbeite gerne gemeinsam, vor allem auch mit den Hosts, damit ich mehr über eure Idee erfahren kann und von euren skills lernen kann.

I stayed at Pignataro for 4 weeks in January and can only recommend it! Me and 2 other Workawayers (plus one main manager and sometimes Sara) stayed in a big house, my room was also so big and beautifully decorated! I spontaneously stayed with this community for a week, as they reached out to me asking for help. I really enjoyed the work, usually I got picked up in the morning and we went to the olive fields to sort and cut parts of the trees under the spring sun. I spent about 3 weeks and had a nice experience. Highlights were definitely the time with the other Workawayers, walking dogs and petting donkeys. Two very nice weeks with Mika. She helped me a lot in gardening, sorting out old stuff , disassemble broken thermal solar collector , cutting branches and so on.
We had nice conversations, went to the cinema together and to my printing workshop.
Every thing went fine and easy.

We had a really nice time together.
He's absolutely easygoing, and fit right in. Coming from the city, naturally somewhat unskilled with farm tasks, but that didn't matter at all, because he's highly motivated to learn new things, isn't shy to get hands dirty and is also very diligent.
