Hi there, I'm Mika!
Nice to meet you!

*in Rome until February 25*

I just finished my apprenticeship as a social worker in Germany in 2025 and now I'm exploring the world! I'm a relaxed and social person with a sense of humor and I'm curious about the diverse ways people design their lives!

I'm curious about animal care (dogs are my fave), sustainability, creativity, self care and social justice. I thrive from social and care work, like taking care of animals, children, cooking for people, cleaning,... but I would love to get more confident in general building and DIY stuff!

Work wise I enjoy team work but also solo projects, I don't mind rain, mud, dog poop. I prefer having a flexible time schedule but I know that's not always possible. I like spending time with my host(s), their friends and of course other workawayers!

Dog(s), guitar(s), and vegetarian food are a big plus for any place!

Hallo Menschen!

Ich bin Mika, 23 Jahre alt und endlich fertig mit meiner Ausbildung als Jugend und Heimerzieher! :) Jetzt nutze ich endlich die Gelegenheit, mache mich frei vom schwabenland und erkunde den Rest der Welt!

Ich interessiere mich für community living, gelebte solidarität, veganismus, Musik, Tiere kümmern (nicht für wirtschaftliche Zwecke oder um die zu essen!), selbst reflektion, lesen, und mehr lernen über eine Gesellschaft mit mehr Respekt und weniger Hierarchien.

Hund(e) , Gitarre(n) und vegetarisches essen sind ein großes Plus für jeden Ort!

Ich arbeite gerne gemeinsam, vor allem auch mit den Hosts, damit ich mehr über eure Idee erfahren kann und von euren skills lernen kann.

I spent about 3 weeks and had a nice experience. Highlights were definitely the time with the other Workawayers, walking dogs and petting donkeys. Two very nice weeks with Mika. She helped me a lot in gardening, sorting out old stuff , disassemble broken thermal solar collector , cutting branches and so on.
We had nice conversations, went to the cinema together and to my printing workshop.
Every thing went fine and easy.

We had a really nice time together.
He's absolutely easygoing, and fit right in. Coming from the city, naturally somewhat unskilled with farm tasks, but that didn't matter at all, because he's highly motivated to learn new things, isn't shy to get hands dirty and is also very diligent.

I stayed about 3 weeks at Nina's place and it was really an amazing time for me! The number of dogs was above average, because Nina looked after a little pack whose parents were on vacation.
