Hi there!
We're an adventurous, outdoorsy and easygoing couple currently exploring NZ on a Working Holiday Visa. We're new to Workaway, but are hoping to find some great experiences, people and places on our way. We're both handy, hardworking and good humoured, and want to throw ourselves into some fun new challenges!

Louis: I'm a British water-sports fanatic and love all things related to the sea and boats. I have a variety of qualifications and experience with safety boats, yachts and water skiing. I'm also a keen snorkeler and have competed in sailing, surfing and stand-up paddle boarding. I studied Music Technology at University, so am also a bit of an Audio geek and love playing and recording music. I also have a lot of hospitality and bar experience too!

Ragna: I'm an active, outdoorsy Norwegian who loves hiking, skiing and fishing and football. I studied environmental management at University and am fascinated by conservation and nature. I have experience working in forestry, parks and river treatment that could lend itself to hands-on tasks. I also love animals and it would be great to meet and look after some, as I am a dog owner myself and have worked at a kennels back home!

We'd love to help out, soak up the local atmosphere and way of life, and meet some nice people while we do it!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We're both quite good with hands-on and DIY stuff. We're fit, healthy and love the outdoors and hiking.

Louis' skills: Powerboat Handling, Water Safety, Sailing, Surfing, Water-skiing, Skiing, Paddle Boarding, Sound Engineering, Music Production, Photography, Hospitality, Bartending.

I've worked in Rock Sailing Club as the Head of Safety Boats for the past three seasons. Outside of that, I've got a 1st BSc degree in Music Technology, and have had a variety of audio, radio and recording jobs. I've also worked in several pubs, retail jobs and worked as a Chalet Host in a ski season.

Ragna's skills: Forestry, Conservation, Animal Care, Cross-country Skiing, Football.

I've worked in a variety of forestry and park jobs, and most recently completed a summer season treating Norwegian rivers for salmon parasites. I have a degree in Environmental & Nature Management, and I particularly enjoy the field-work aspects of this.

We're both quite competitive and love Board games -- particularly Monopoly, Chess, Backgammon and Risk. Louis is a poker player.
We're also quite into art and painting, but are no Picassos!
We have a van and love exploring and camping in it. Wherever we got, we will need a place nearby to park it.
