Hi everyone! My name is Louisa, I am new to workaway, but I am so so excited about the opportunities to come with it. I absolutely love traveling; my most recent travels include going to Kenya in March with my university and backpacking through Italy with a few of my friends over the summer. Now I am ready for my first solo trip! I ld say I am extroverted and outgoing; I have always loved meeting people and hearing about their life experiences. I love listening to music and learning about new music. I grew up camping and hiking with my family, so I love anything outdoors. I actually worked on a little garden at my house where I grew tomatoes, blackberries and radishes, so I'm super excited to help out on a farm. I am a summer lover; I feel like summer is when I truly live because I get to be outside all day swimming in lakes or rivers. I am from the middle of North Carolina, so I am in between the mountains and the beach, and love going to both. I really like to read books if I'm alone and play card games with my friends and family. I love baking and cooking, and I'm eager to learn to cook new recipes. I also love taking photos with my digital camera and would say I have a very good eye for photography. I would also consider myself very active, I lift weights, but I love running and doing yoga in addition to that. I'm very ambitious and beyond excited to explore parts of the world that I've never been before!!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’m very tenacious and hard working, once i start something i won’t give up on it. I’m very good with the outdoors and physically able so i can do demanding work for long periods of time. I volunteered with an organization called habitat for humanity where i helped build houses, which definitely increased my hands on skills. I am very good at learning new skills such as learning to cook something new or improving my rock climbing skills. I was a host at a restaurant so I’m great at interacting with strangers, and making people feel welcome. I am great with kids and animals as i do a lot of babysitting and petsitting!

I’m outgoing when it comes to trying new food so i’m very eager to get to eat foods i don’t normally eat in the united states! Card games are one of my favorite pastimes, and i love teaching people how to play the ones i love. I am passionate about thrifting, I get 90% of my clothes second hand and i love having unique clothes from that. I played the piano all growing up, and while i don’t play anymore i still have a lot of muscle memory from it. I enjoy photography, I have a digital camera that was my moms and I take it any place i travel to so i can take photos.
